I am currently thinking about picking up some J whipits, but I havent found any decent longer term reviews on them. Can anyone give me some insight on them, especially when it comes to durability
 
J is being kind enough to lend me two pairs (Vacation and Friend) for testing, so soon we will have you covered for reviews. Keep checking the news section. Lemuel already tested some of the narrower skis, check out his reviews in the gear section.
 
i had a pair of whip it tropic thunders and i like them at first. they do chip really easily (the top sheet), the edges do tend to break, and most importantly they were soft first day i rode them, so by 15th day they were WAY too soft. i was only 120 lbs and using the 171 so that shows how soft they are
 
I rode them for a half year and sold BC I needed some cash the top sheets will get skuffed up if you ride hard but damn the edges and bases are tanks theyare also rather buttery and poppy I loved them and think I might try the all play next season

I have the cats in space J skis, and I love them, not only do I have furry little friends always looking at me while I butter but they get lots of attention! But if you have the money for J's I would get them if:

-You lock them up so they don't get stolen

-You love buttery skis

If you are only into big airs, these probably are not the ski for you, they are extremely buttery, I love their butteryness, but many do not. And for durability I would say almost as durable as ON3P's but they don't weigh 5 tons. Thats another pro for the J's.

Pros:

-Cool ass designs (I love cats)

-Light (Hiking is a breeze)

-Playful (Buttery + Poppy = much fun)

-Durable (No core shots after riding for a full season on a giant rock with snow on it)

-Fast (They rip down the mountain)

-Poppy (Pop those nollies and or ollies)

-Buttery (Super buttery if you like it)

Cons:

-Buttery (If you like em stiff)

-Thief Magnet (So I've heard)

-Landing switch is tricky (Due to butteryness)

There isn't such thing as too flex
 
The biggest thing that stuck out to my able the twisters is the lack of any durability what so ever. The edges cracked 9 times underfoot and started pushing out of the base/delaming. Along with the bases turning to mountains I wouldn't recommend.
 
My snowboarding is cool skis have gotten really soft and the top sheets chip really bad. However the bases and edges are holding up way better then my Blends.

Just wondering if you detuned your edges, could that of caused that much cracking? They are pretty thick edges considering

I did, but I also did some pretty big disasters to flat parts of rails
