I already picked up some Sessions gear for this season's outerwear but I was just wondering if they still make outerwear for skiing or if they stopped after Jon went to Cross. Anybody have any info?

Rowen got a J.Lindeberg suit last year I think, so he may know where to score some stuff..

word, thats a sick jacket.

j.l is sooooo expensive, i bought one of their golf belts this summer, 150 bucks later..............

i got sum j. lindberg golf polos. and a belt. (the one that camillio vegagas wears) but i dont see any outerwear or any coats for that matter on their website. im prolly guna get rid of one of the polo's shoot me a pm if ur interested.

They made legit suits for 2 years, then their contract with Jon ran out and they got real bad.

To my knowledge, heres what they made:

Matt And Trae - this is the setup the Jon rocks most of Ski Porn, the full suit comes in white, black or green, the last being what I have. The material is really well constructed, taped all the way, ect. (My review here:https://newschoolers.com/web/content/reviews/action/read/id/432/ ) Really good stuff, 15k/15k and has lasted longer than any Oakley I've bought.

Theres also a line of padded down jackets out there. I think they may be called "Trae" as well, but a fe were on Ebay when I snagged my suit. More insulation, less waterproof. They have the big "JL" logos on the arm that the regular Trae lack.

If you do decide to get one off ebay, heres my advice. Go smaller. I got a large, and being 5'10", its larger than I needed. JL should fit you, so a medium would be fine in my case. Oakley can be XL and look good on anyone, but not this line.

As for buying, ebay is your best bet. Check the UK stores, check them often. They are out there, but they're just really really rare. Alternatively, if you offer me about $1000 for mine, I'd consider a transaction. Just be noted, when you buy one of these things, its hard to justify buying any more outerwear.

look at all those fancy clothes but these could keep us warm just like those......
what about your soul, is it cold?
is it straight from the mold and ready to be sold? cars and phones and diamond rings bling bling what about your mind does it shine?

or are there things that cooncern you more than your time? gone going...haha i love jack johnson (no homo) but i like jlindeberg too
rowen: i read your review its really sick very informative +k for the info

Have you looked at skiing in general? How many people on this site buy a new pair of skis every year? How many thousands of dollars do you think we burn in gas every day in the winter to pursue a totally selfish form of entertainment? Skiing is a huge waste of money in general, I dont see why this should be anything different.

Jon's new Cross stuff looks sick but it is super expensive just like the JL stuff. Only thing is that the Cross gear is only 5000 waterproof/breatheable which kinda sucks. The JL stuff was higher performance for sure imo.

Hahah i know it is.
Whenever I see stuff like $500 + jackets etc it makes me think of that song, that's all.I was at a ski shop at squaw and found so many things for example a turtleneck for $150, it's just like wow what the fuck is happening?
As for going skiing, and money used to buy a pass and get to the hill, I don't really see it as selfish entertainment, I think of it as a healthy lifestyle that greatly benefits my mental and physical health, because it does. People can do what they want, our culture thrives on materialism, and I'm definitely no exception at all. I spend so much fucking money it's ridiculous, I've just recently thought about trying to be more idealistic. I've thought man maybe instead of buying new things (clothes, electronics, etc) I'll save this money and take a bad ass ski trip this winter. ya know?

and i just found out that the Throwback Parka (the one with not much leather) is $370 in Canada..ouchand still no word from JL

I agree with Rowen on the sizes, I also have the JL setup. I have my jacket in L and pants in XL, and although they fit me fine, i wouldn't mind going for M/L instead, i think it would still be big enough. Im 6' and i weight about 195lbs

Here's a reference pic of me just to see the size

honestly if you are paying that much for outerwear thats 5k waterproof/breathable, you are pretty fuckin stupid. 5k is nothing, it will get wet in a minimal rain and really won't do much. Not very impressive at all. Just goes to show that people will waste money on a crappy product when companies are good at marketing

You're not going to get anything from them, worst customer service ever. I had a piece of the jacket get torn, called and emailed for a m

onth, nothing, and I just wanted to know if I should take and precautions in thread type or whatever... ended up sewing it myself.

Personally I am not a fan. There is some much steezier stuff out there for sure. It's sooo pricy and I don't think they make it any more. I sent them shit loads of emails once to try and tease an answer out of them but never got back to me. Shitty customer service IMO.
Plus they are primarily a golf brand, bit wierd that they went all ski for like 3 years then backed out.

They're a Swedish brand, they had Jon for three years, he didnt renew, so they went back to what they do best.

They make really limited production outerwear as of now. That is totally not J. Olson inspired and kinda crappy. My opinion, but whatever.
