The iTunes store wasn't working, iTunes reinitialized each time I tuned it on and to top it all:

I lost all my fucking songs!!!! They disappeared !!!! All! like 10 000 of em FUCKKKK! and my movies too!!!

Can I reimport them them by batch? ... I don't want to import all the .wav and mp3s I have on my cpu some are just drum kits and samples (I make music)

I still have the files on my iPod ... is there a program that can make my iPod put the files it contains into the iTunes (when you synch it synchs the library with the iPod not the iPod w/ the library)

Moral of the story: don't support fucking iTunes full of dogshit I'd rather have a buffalo puke in my ear after eating diarhhea

Thanks for reading my rant and if someone knows how to fix this ... thanks

podworks. versiontracker.com to find it or an equivelant if you are on a PC. download. then after that, get off the PC, buy a MacPro, put $120 750 GB internals into it whenever you need space and back yo shit up next time SON.

The files are probably still on your harddrive. Try searching for song titles. Then just open in Itunes.

just downlaod one of those programs off line for gettin msic off of ur ipod to ur comp. my comp got fucked once and all my music got deleted to (6000 songs) , its such a shtty feeling.

Yes, but all scattered and it'll take a shitload of time to put em back on. Mass importing doesn't work really well.

a few of my friends use a program called ipod agent and you can buy it for $20 and you can take music and movies off of ipods

that happend to me last year i just searched how to do it on google and i found a good program in 2 minutes

You can import all the music files from your hardrive. It's pretty easy and only takes a minute...either that or millions of people use Itunes even though it sucks. You choose.

ugh my library just crashed too. all the music is still there in folders its just the library that crashes.

I solved the problem finally ... i think this happened cuz I haden't updated my iTunes in ages ... if didn't want to import all my files by hand so I downloaded CopyTrans (cracked application) and put all the files I had on my iPod in my iTunes/hardrive back again. (I had previously deleted the files I had all scattered in my hardrive so this time it'sall classed properly).

OR

Use MediaMonkey ... it works great and is iPod compatible ... I prefer iTunes just because of the store and the general sexy layout

Okay, so here is my problem, I tried to move all my music on my computers hardrive to my external harddrive because I only had like 200 mb left on my computers hard drive. So, I move all of my Itunes stuff (just the folder named Itunes) onto the hardrive, then I delete the file off my computer to open up free space, I went back onto my Itunes and nothing was there....

So I have all the stuff on my ipod and could put it all back on, but then it would just go back onto my computers hardrive, any idea on how to get it to my external hardrive?

before you update to a new version of itunes, you should always export your library into an .xml file.

that way if you "lose" your music, you can upload it again and everything is right back where it was.

to export your library, all you have to do is click on file, and then export library. its as simple as that!

its cause your itunes thinks that its all still in the itunes folder not on the external....

umm, you don't need a program to take music off your ipod (unless you're on a mac, then you need one) Just open the ipod in my computer, select show hidden files, grab the one with music and drag it onto your computer. The names will all be like IKJY, but itunes recognizes it with artists and what not. Not good for getting individual songs, but works for recovery.

I have a suggestion: get rid of iTunes, it sucks like many apple products. Get MediaMonkey. It's a tweaked version of winamp, looks pretty similar to iTunes (only reason I ever used iTunes was because it had a good library setup) Also comes with milkdrop, one of the best visualizers around. i dowloaded the gold version through torrent. if you hate itunes, get it.

I'm a huge fan of Winamp, been using it for a year now, but what makes MediaMonkey better?

But yeah, iTunes is quite shitty, avoid it at all costs. Use Xilisoft Audio Converter to convert your store-bought songs into regular mp3's and abandon it forever.

I used winamp for a while cause i got sick of itunes and it kept crashing and had all these bugs and my 9000 song library got imported with about 5% correct tags which did not go well with my anal nature, but I just put mediamonkey on a my new computer and it runs perfectly, has great add-ons, and plays most any file format. If you have winamp and like it by all means keep using it, its basically the same, i just found mediamonkey more stable
