this plugin that someone else posted on here a few months ago makes itunes sound much much betterhttp://www.srs-store.com/store-plugins/mall/iwow-plugin.asp
you can get a free trial on the site. Once you use this program, you will never use itunes without it it. Pretty amazing how it can clean up the audio and make it sound much better.

the Ipod has the same equalizer settings as itunes, you just can't change them.

if your gonna use that though and you care about your speakers your gonna want to turn the preamp down to about -6dB or your speaker is going to clip and the more it clips the closer it will get to blowing. for it to clip the input signal just has to go over 0dB. in the end its not that useful. its the sort of stuff that the sound engineers had to work on when the were mastering the track.

i know the ipod has the same equalizer on the ipod is the same as in itunes.... i should have said can you add equalizer settings to the ipod? but i guess you kind of answered that, so thanks
