I just downloaded sone songs off of limewire and just dragged them from limewire into my itunes. When i did this, those little '!' things popped up to the left of most of my songs. When i try to play the songs with the '!' things, it says that i have to locare the origional file because itunes cat locate it. I have all the files and i could just go throught and manually do all of them, but when i locate one song's file, the song right under that one gets a '!' thing. Is there any way to fix this without manually going thought and doing every song?

youre doing it wrong in the first place.

when you finish downloading them they go to a shared folder? you then drag the songs from your shared folder into itunes.

then you move the location of the song from your shared folder to a different folder. that is why the ! comes up on the side.

move the song from your shared folder to a different folder first, and then drag the song from that new folder into itunes.

i think thats the problem youe having.

i have a question about ituns myeslf...

is there an easier way to update your ipod with the songs you want?

like, i have 60 gigs on itunes, but i have a 30gig ipod. is there an easier way to downsize/uncheck the capacity you upload?

OR...

once you uncheck a good amount of songs, whats the best way to know how much gigs you have checked still?

If you have it set to manually put your songs to your ipod, just drag the songs you want to your ipod (playlist thing on the left) and it will say when your pod is full. Im pretty sure.

well, one more thing, how do yu set it to manual? can you do it through itunes or does it have to be done on the actual ipod?
