Itunes help!! quick! karma will be given

i accidentally set all my songs to the artist blink 182. so like on my ipod, all it shows up under artists is blink-182. all the albums are under one artist

help!
 
how did you manage that?

and another itunes question, how do you get zip files into itunes?
 
dude your going to have to go back and rename all your artists sorry.

^and shouldnt you just unzip them?
 
haha yeah, i forgot i had all my songs selected somehow, and i went to rename an album to the artist blink 182

i have the music on another pc so i guess im ok
 
take the music from that pc, put it on ur ipod, then take the new music from ur ipod n put it on the pc that got screwed up. should restore back to normal
 
try looking in your itunes folder for you previous itunes libraries or whatev. they're xml files. maybe you could load one of them?
 
sorry but i have another itunes question... when i go to use idump it says that my ipod cant be found. I set it to manual mode like it tells you to but it still doesnt do it for me. I am fresh out of ideas. Anyone had this happen to them and figure out how to get idump to work?? thanks.

go on google and search fixtunes torrent, download fixtunes once you find a link, then it'll put everything on your itunes back the way it should be. if u need help let me know it can get confusing.
 
download winace archiver and then just drop th compressed files into the once its open then drag em from winace into your itunes library or a new playlist.
 
go to the itunes folder and look for your temp files... maybe you can load one of those... I'm not sure how, as I have never had this problem.
