ITunes 9.0.0

Is it worth the download? Mine has been telling me to update it but I'm a little lazy when it comes to that.
Also, if you don't mind - what's the home sharing feature?

i like everything except for when you hit the green button (on a mac) that used to turn the big window into the mini payer it now just changes the size of the window. soooooooooo fucking annoying.

isn't there soemething in preferences where you can change that?

i just DLed it an now it wont open because 'it detects a problem with quicktime', blaag

Home sharing is when you type in your itunes account info to your computer and have people on your network do the same you can see their playlists/ music and just click and drag any song from their list to yours. its super easy file sharing pretty much.

I know, i figured it out a while ago. But just by natural instinct I always hit the green button and it just fucks up the way I want my iTunes window, it's a pain in the ass.

If you have multiple computers on one account: i.e., your mom, dad, and sister all have their own computer in the house on one account, you can share music between these computers instead of having to load it on a flash drive or CD.

they just updated 9.0.0 to 9.0.1 and they fixed the miniplayer button so now when yo uclick the green button (macs) it'll go to mini player rather than just getting a little smaller... good job apple.

did they actually change anything this time? or just take up more space on my computer for no aparent reason other then the play button looks nicer

the most significant update in iTunes 9 is that it changes the interaction with the USB link. apple is very protective of its intellectual property and does not want to allow other mp3/mobile devices to be able to interact with iTunes. however, Palm has designed its new Pre phone to emit the same USB signal number as an Apple device when it connects with iTunes. thus, the Palm Pre can communicate with iTunes versions BEFORE version 9 when apple updated its software to prevent this intrusion into what it believes is its realm. note that Palm's actions here do violate agreements with the USB standardization regulatory body, but there is no other real practical method for a device to communicate with iTunes.
my personal opinion is that apple is unfairly exercising monopolistic powers and denying users freedom of choice in the software/hardware configurations.

i like it but here at UVM they have it setupp so we can like listen to other people's music but we can't take it for our own cause they're wack about file sharing and stealing music
