It'seasy to hurt yourself.

just so everyone knows this, it's really easy to very seriously hurt yourself. I was just cruisin a groomer on december fourth, and incurred a pretty serious traumatic brain injury.

true dis, my old coach was cruising mt snow a few years back and went to do a switch butter one over a tiny little knoll, caught an edge and ended up fucking up his spleen, he was out for the rest of the season

+ vibes for sure man

november 11: i was cruising and hitting side booters hit a snow boarder and now my legs broken and wont beable to ski till march.

the point is be carefull and always watch where your going

my worst crashes have been on groomers also, i think the main reason is because you don't expect it, while if you're sliding rails or making air, you are always somewhat prepared for a crashbut when cruising groomers you're generally going quite fast and you're very relaxed, perhaps a bit unfocused and then it happens :(
++vibes bro !

+ vibes man. definitely always happens when you least expect it. totally unrelated to skiing, but i remember one time playin football on the beach, dove for a pass, landed with my head within a foot of a nice big rock i never knew was there

+vibes

doing something super comfortable makes it waaaaay easier to hurt yourself

like skating and skiing i almost never get hurt even doing big stuff because you can prepare yourself for a fall but then you crush your hand closing a door

i once fell off a trampoline, landed on my back and just layed on the ground for a couple seconds. i turned my head to the side and like 6 inches from my face was a dead squirrel.

could have been bad

Yeah, I don't think I've ever gotten a serious injury from doing something impressive. They've pretty much all been from easy little things gone slightly wrong.

yep, fucked up my back on the 27th haulin ass down a groomer, decided to do a 180 off a little roller and caught an edge and landed flat on ice on my back and slammed my head. definately not my proudest moment

I did a lil 1 off a side jump on a trail and hooked an edge. my head was literally 10 inches from a tree. thank god that was the day we got 6 inches of fresh haha. also that is why i will always wear my helmet

ya it seems like people often get hurt cruise cause they have their guard down. and something about low speeds seem to make very awkward falls

My friends Dad was apparently skiing real fast down a steep groomer this sunday and caught an edge. His skis didn't pop off... he tore his acl, mcl, and meniscus. I still don't know all the details.

inb4 bnorris telling you you're a frail little bitch

but seriously ++++vibes and i hope everyone out there stays injury free this season.

I ate shit hard last night at race practice. Hit a rut in the GS course, my right ski popped off, I got bucked, lost the other ski, and ragdolled. On hardpack. So glad I had my helmet, would have had a pretty serious concussion otherwise.

+vibes man. Always seeing people eat it on groomers when your least expecting. I think it cause your thinking im on a groomer nothing will go wrong.... then it happens

the guy who played quigon jin in star wars (liam neison) his wife was skiing at my mountain and fell on a spring day with soft +15-20 degree weather and fell on the smallest run on the hill, and wacked her head and died later in hospital, pretty sad/nuts.

i know who diagnosed her. she had an existing tumour that she didn't know about. after hitting her head she got an MRI and they found it. it would have killed her within months anyway but the stack caused her to bleed and she died from that.

that sucks dude. one of the best ways to prevent injuries is stretching. it sucks having to sit out because you pulled a muscle in your leg or something
