Its only 2+ weeks into the season... just saying. But congrats considering they didn't qualify for playoffs last season and haven't touched the cup since '67 :)

ahaha yesir, and i lived in the GTA for 13 years, where everyone was beakin at me for being a habs fan, and during a period where at one point the habs were as bad, if not worse than the leafs ahahah
 
I'll probably be in Montreal on Halloween weekend. As a Habs fan I wouldn't mind seeing the home game against the Panthers (lame). How hard is it to get tickets these days?

the leafs looked good tonight. i really thought the islanders were gonna lose in OT until that penalty.
 
Toronto fans are a bunch of corporate asshole who don't even care about the game, they win a few games and they assume they're unstoppable. (I know the articles fake).
 
ya but i say let them be happy. when was the last time the leafs were at the top of the standings? even if it is just 5 games.

if the flames were 5-0 i know a lot of people around here would be saying we are unstoppable as well.

organization with a great history and the people of Toronto have the

I'm a leafs fan but I tend to agree with him. Corporations have taken over the arena. Have you ever been to a game? I know you can kinda tell on tv, but when your there and see the first 30 rows half empty (even though the tickets sold out 20 years ago) and suits in the filled seats it really pisses me off. Its a shit atmosphere compared to other rinks.

when was the last time they made the playoffs? and idiot fans will still go to the games paying top dollar while making the maple leaf sports entertainment the richest organization in the league. as long as the ontario teachers pension plan owns the leafs, all they are interested is making sure teachers have a pension. winning games to them is just a bonus.
 
The arena is full of corporate idiots, but to say that Toronto has no true fans? Toronto has one of the largest fan bases in the NHL. How do you think it would still be feasible to put another team in Hamilton? Even with another team right beside, both teams would have no trouble selling out. It's not just the arena sales either. Toronto's TV viewings are through the roof. Why? Because even though people can't go to the game ($), they still watch it at home. This generates money through advertising, putting the Leafs in the top spot as far as money's concerned. As such, there may be tons of corporate idiots who ruin the game atmosphere, but our fans are just as good (if not better) than the rest.

Wow you get offended so easily hahaha. You're clearly from Toronto. First of all, I didn't even mention toronto's establishment, I was talking about their fans. If you think im close minded then go watch a fucking game. For the first five minutes of each period the first 15-20 rows are almost all empty because because the "corporate asshole's" are in their private boxes, not even watching the game. Yea im making a bit of an assumption, but there is way to much money poured into that team and because of it the only people that can afford tickets are people with lots and lots of money.
