Well.....the weather is getting colder, ski movies are coming out, and everybody is just getting pumped for those first runs of the year. Well its time for the Original Rail Jam as well.

Thats right, the Georgian College Jibfest 2007 is going down on OCTOBER 27th 2007.

The place is the Georgian College parking lot in barrie. The cost is 35$. Its going down from 11 am to 4pm. After party at 9 pm sponsored by RON JON.

It is an Open even, so any skier or boarder can enter, but you guys need to register quick since spots are filling up fast. To register send your info ( picture, portfolio, vids, sponsors, stats, etc) to jibfest2007@hotmail.com, or visit the Jibfest facebook group or myspace.com/jibfest2007 for anything else you need. The theme this year is old school, so if you got a sick ass perm mullet, handle bar mustche, or longass straight skis.....then this is the party for you.

If you have any questions about getting in, prizes, set up, voulenteers, event sponsorship hit me up and i will try to answer you guys, or send you to someone who can.

Im looking forward to see some NS people there. Later days all.

well we are talking about a down flat down from moonstone, and maybe even a nice super long box. Nothing for certain yet, but i know its gonna be CRAZY.

do it guys....just to show up even. Its a great time, and really don't want it to be a snowboard only event. Plus SRO kids are known to put on a CRAZY ass party.

thats a great question, and i don't really know. They might have wild card spots this year, they might not.

so as some of you may or may not know, most of the spots are filled in. the wild card spots are still up for grabs, and i will have more info on that in a few days.

maybe no hay bails this time, i dont know many handrails with hay bails attatched to them, they certainly didnt help when i nut sacked myself, aww yeah!

OHhh shit that was funny as hell but maybe not for you.. word to the haybails sure they can save yourlife but have something like Squaire Johns had with the plywood in the middle

Ok guys, final update for y'all. Jibfest is closed for registration. No more wild card spots since we are full up to the brim, and we aren't taking any riders day of. Congrats on everybody who got in, and sorry for everybody who didn't. There is always next year. The event itself will be an awesome time, and there will be tons of swag, awsome riding, and good times to be had.

After party will be at the last class, and it will be a concert, a bunch of local bands. So come and support the jibfest, or just drop by for a little look.

Later Days

im prettynsure i got in, because thats what the facebook mesage said. I haven't gotten any confirmation e-mails or antything yet though

holy shit! i'll be there for that too. but wait - my skis are in rossland... oh wait - i don't even have rail skis right now. i wonder if i can find some skis and boots kicking around my mom's house or something. i'll probably show up anyways, get drunk and cheer people on, or get my hate going. either way - i'll fuckin' be there for sure. am i going to know anyone there? who is still hanging out in ontario these days anyways?

oh - i see how it is - i can't even play even if i find skis eh? oh well - looks like drunken heckeling it is. so max - you'll be there? at least i know one person - who else? whatever - i'll just make my own friends.

the people running the show know the set up......hell im helping to build the damn thing and I don't even know. All we know is that they are rails from Mount St Louis Moonstone Park.

HUNT.... I might make up for the after party... i got job training at Lakeridge (I know Im still stuck in Ontario) but that is a good question who all is going from NS... either to ride or to party?!

its the down flat down fliped around so its a flat down flat box and its also the down box. they are beside eachother. kinda like a stair setup but not really.

revised list:

winners: everyone who actually got to hit the setup during the finals

Losers: every (like me) who got two tries to make it to the finals and fell. 30 bucks for like 5 runs = gay

Well thanks for everybody who came out. I had a great time ( i was the guy in the orange pants at the bottom of the rails trying to maintain the landing). Tell us what you liked, and what you didn't like. Like i thought it was pretty sick, but.....it was a sort of a weird set up for skiers.

everything was dope except 2 things:

- that the qualifying wasnt a jam

- that bitchy ass girl that would stop you after 2 runs(sorry if shes your gf or something)

yeah, i know. Shes not my gf, she is a second year. Are you talking about the girl in the green or one of the girls in the Blue/pink. I thought the set up could have been way better, the rail turned around was pretty shitty in my mind.

Thanks for the feed back guys, hopefully it will be better for next year.

Actually, Jamison killed it. Had the comp not been based on the final 2 runs, but all runs taken that day, Jamison probably would have won, or at least come top 3.

On the flat-down-flat, twosev in, fs switchup on the kink, bs twosev out. Sandy did twosev in, fs switchup, bs switchup, reg out on the down box.
