my uncle has a longboard company called kahuna creations, they made this interesting thing called the big stick which is like a paddle for the street on a longboard.

what about like "hybrid" boards- long enough for cruising, but short enough you can still ollie and whatnot. any good cheap ones out there?
 
Check out BC Longboards, the Moray model. Has flair on both ends. Made of bamboo and you can get custom graphics. still a longboard though, 38 inches but i have seen a video where a guy grinds a ledge with it in a park.
 
ahhhhhhh all i watched is the first video in this thread and now I have to go dig mine out. It's buried in my basement from last summer arghhh.

Sidenote:

any thoughts on throwing longboard trucks and soft wheels on this deck?
