It's spreading.

Sucks. They bought my home mountain and it's had many noticeable/negative effects, but it's entirely out of my control. So in response I just wake up earlier to get one of the leftover employee lot spots, make breakfast and wait for first chair.

Industry consolidation. This won't be the last of it either. It's become extremely costly to operate a mountain. I'm actually surprised they didn't just acquire the entire CDA group portfolio.

its a damn shame! they’re spreading like cancer

They bought out my local (hill) too and it just sucks now. Crazy long lines, Expensive as shit. It’s kinda nice being able to buy a full pass to every one of thier resorts instead of paying for a season pass to your local and having to pay daily or what every you do whenever you wanna go to a big name resort owned by them.(my opinion)

I will say that my biggest complaint is the massive lines. I opted for the option for my local only because unless I'm going to Whistler there are no other resorts I'm willing to fork over the kind of cheddar in travel expenses to make it to. Granted I really enjoy the CO resorts they own but I'd just as soon stay closer to home, say Oregon or Idaho where there are plenty of fantastic mountains to ski. I'd have gone for an Ikon however all the resorts closer to home are subject to their 7 day BS so it just happened to be the lesser of 2 evils

All the big powerful companies will slowly own more and more all over the world until there is nothing left. Land, media, banking, products, and entertainment. They will have complete control. There will be the super wealthy and the poor, no middle class. Nobody can stop it.
