It's shroom season

I didn't know they were in season. Shroom season back in VT is late spring.

What species grow out here and where can I find some around Tacoma? I love hunting and love reaping the rewards even more. Good to know someone else is into the search for that magical fungus!

We have a few species around here that like lawns and such. They're dark brown and spindly, but because theres another local variety thats really close in appearance that can kill you, I wouldnt risk it.

However, chantereles, chicken of the woods, oysters and morels are amazing out in the foothills. You'll need to walk around or join the local mycological society to find good spots, I'm not sharing mine.

YOu can pick cyanescens here, they grow in shady wet places and they dig wood chips. They like to kick it under rhododendrons too. Wood chips under a rrhododendron bush is pretty ideal. Check them out with someone who's pucked them before you eat them though... Look up picture on the internet and shit and go for it though. This is the mushroom capitol of the world.

I'm about to go check some spots around the hood later today.

I'll report back.

It definitely seems like they should be poking up right around now.

homie found some that though were shrooms turned out to be a toadstool. most poisenous mushroom in the world. he didnt eat it though.

been lookin around a bit. it's so hard to decide what to keep w/o having anyone with that has hunted before. i find some much fungus it's rediculious, but i'm having a hell of a time deciding if any of them are cyans.

someone help!

i need mushrooms!!! haha

^ I know what you mean. I'm new too, but just ask other people who are hunting. I'm not sure if the ones I found today are good, I post pictures soon! They look like the ones the guy showed me, but they aren't doing any "blue bruising". Do they need to be shaken around more?

^i have no clue how to find someone else that hunts. who do i ask? it's not that easy to just guess who does mushrooms, let alone hunts them...

Oh well in my case there were some guys digging in the shrub near trees, and it was pretty obvious what they were doing. Buuut yeah ask someone from this thread to go with you!

me and my older bro tripped last night off some cyans i found last thursday. it was my bro's first time, and it was hella fun. he didn't sleep all night, then went to work at 8 am for 9 hours. haha.

i found a shitload more patches and picked a bunch more that are drying out right meow. and i'm going back this week to get a lot more, there were hundreds of really small ones and pins last week, so after the rain and nice weather this weekend and the rain that is supposed to come monday, i'll be set.

and i went out today for a walk around my neighborhood, and sure enough, found a few more patches that seem very promising for big crops soon.

This is my new favorite passtime. except skiing.

ate some baeos around three yesterday, munched all day till around nine. to the dude above me, mush and skiing combined is where its at. still got a fat handful for when im tryin to get weird.

i'm plannin to eat some on an epic pow day this year. and just shred off into the sunset.

i gave one of my buddies a grip of mush today and he took em all a few hours ago and he was just texting me the most fucked up shit. haha. free mushrooms to have and give away is the best!

WARNING: mtbakerteacher will eat your hard earned psylocybins (sp?) even if you specifically tell him not to. No respect for this kid.

A. They weren't psilocybins.

B. Do we really need to get into this here? If you'd like, I can point out your numerous mistakes you've made that I didn't care about, and compare it to my... one? mistake? Oh sorry I'm a terrible friend, my bad.
