It's official; old gorbs are fucking pricks, and like to crush the shit out of 7 year olds for fun.

K. So I coach for a freestyle team. Today I had the little kids. I sent one of them up the lift with his brother and 2 adults. The only reason they have to go on the lift with adults in the first place is cuz they're mother is a crazy psycho-bitch who thinks her kid has "hypersensitivity disorder", which according to her makes him jump off the chair lift randomly. But that's another story.

These kids are 7 and 8 years old. The one concerned here is 7. As they're getting off at the top, the old guy falls on the 7 year old kid. The kid starts lying on the ground screaming his head off that his leg hurts and it feels like it's broken. Well, whatever right? Little kids don't know shit. I walk over and see that his leg is not pointing the way it is supposed to at all. So fuck. Me and my boss, who thankfully was coaching with me right then, get the patrollers, who happened to be standing right there. We go over and deal with them and the kid, and the other kids I'm coaching at the time, and while this is happening the prick who crushed the shit out of my kid skis off.

Turns out in the end that the kid broke his femur right in two. He's lucky too; clean break, no complications or cut arteries or anything.

He'll be out for over a year with rehab and shit. And the fucking prick who did it just skiied off without so much as a word. If I ever see him again, I think I'm going to have to beat the living shit out of him. And I'll have a line of about 8 other coaches and 20 or 30 parents behind me waiting to do the same thing.

that's ridic dude, but make sure to cover your bases too. while its totally not your fault, you could easily be sued for that by the parents

Yea. We did an accident report, and they're ok with it so far. They're actually more angry that I didn't chase the fucker down and beat his face in right then. But yea, it's all good. Just pisses me off a lot.

^haha! the hyper sensitivity thing is just his mom being a total nutter. The kid is fine mentally. Aside from being raised crazy and all.

totoally wrong, You cant be sued when you have an accident on the ski hill or even when you are in a team. There is liability waivers.... I feal for the kid and the guy who skied off is a weiner head

Shit, broke it in half? That's insane! Our neighbor broke his pretty much in half (not clean at all) by smashing into a tree on his quad and even that took him many months to get over.

HOLY SHIT, practically the smae thing happened to me, but im twice his age, and the guy was i think like 35 around.Im going relativley fast, compared to him, he cuts infront of me hits my right leg, wich crossesover to my left leg, then completly cuts infront of me to knock me over, i go flying into the sign post, i hit my shin and get a "deep bruise" says the doctor and i have no skiing for couple of weeks.

Obviously not as bad as what happened to the kid, but same premiss(sp?)

how in hell do you break a femur in 2 by an old guy falling on you?? o and where i ski, an instructor was goin up the life with his one student who was lik a 7 yr old girl.. he opened the bar near the topm she fell out face first, and broke her back.. i saw it happened an it made loud noises

you should have taken off your ski and thrown it javellin style into his back as he skiied away. then skiied up to him and rip out his heart and show it to him before he died so he could see how black it was

^douche. when you see that guy again on the hill, you need to tell him what happened and get him to at least pay medical expenses.

i didnt think it was possible for someone to be so much of a dueche as to not say one word after breaking a kids leg in half and ski away while the kids screaming in agony.

apparently, i was wrong.

broken femurs are extremly painful, luckily the kids young so the bone was weak, my moms friend daughter broke her femur skiing (shes like 10?) and her recovery is slow and painful, the doctors had to put titanium screws in her leg, and now shes in a wheel chair for a while,

my friend was at manning on the t bar (hes not very good) so hes getting off the t bar at the top and the girl in back of him holds her t bar way too late, lets go, it swings and knocks him the fuck out. He has a concussion, and the little girls parents freak out, tell her to follow them and then they ski like hell and get out of there. Way to raise a kid dumbfuck. That sucks dude

so did the dude who fell on this kid know that the kid was seriously injured or did he ski off before the kid started screaming?

waivers don't mean shit dude. the waiver on the back of a lift ticket that says the purchaser accepts all responsibility hasn't stopped people from suing (and winning) 10's of millions of dollars from ski resorts. you are wrong.

I'm pretty sure he had to know. The kid's leg was half wrapped around his own body. He kinda skiied off to the side a bit, then left. I think he was very afraid of being sued and/or beaten.

^ haha ,you made that cork thing as a joke but it actually happens to me on tramps cause of that

oh and we all know what he looks like, so lets just hope he show his face around southern. theres no way he didn't know that kid was hurt

can't sue the ski hill unless there is a direct link of causality between them and the consequences of the incident. bottom line, there is no way in hell the resort can be held responsible for the actions of one moron. however, if negligence on the part of the resort can be shown to be a cause of the damages, then the civil recourse is on. also, it depends on the nature of the damages, material, corporal, emotional etc...

k if that was one of the kids i teach, oh man that guy would be dead, id f-in bash his head in with a shovel, people like that dont deserve to be on the same hill as us, in fact they dont deserve to ski at all

wow, even tho kids are small and annoying sometimes i feel sorry for them because ive been one myself once. Theyre just trying to learn and when asses like that old faag does this shit it really pisses me off! Find his adress and ill mail him a letter bomb!

I had to take the rest of the kids down the hill afterwards cuz my coach had to go and talk to the parents and to the helicopter pilot to find out where they were taking the kid. If I had just left the kids there after having a kid get his leg broken on my watch I would have been in uber-shit.

AAAAAHAHAHAAA!!!! yea, i think that'd be a big hit actually. HA! big hit? get it? oh man i'm effing lame today. i dunno. i can kind of sympathise with him over it though. imagine getting sued over that? the guy could have lost everything because of a simple mistake. i hate our law suit mad society. if it hadn't been for the fact that he thought he was gonna get sued for all he was worth, i'm sure he would have stayed and done his best to help out.

Shit dude. I feel really bad for the kid. Broken femur is a fucking serious injury. Hes lucky it was as clean as it was, the femur is a massive bone.

You were lucky in many ways becasue that situation can get waaaaaaaaaay out of hand.

1- The injury was at a local area. As serious as it is, he is lucky to still be alive.

2- Many people were present and must have whitnessed the accident. Most importantly, the head coach was present, so your ass is covered.

3- Your (and the head coach) seemed professional in handling the case. You have a good image.

4- The accident report was well done.

I have hear of one event in my team. The adjoint coach was checking a guy's flips and the guy happend to overspin the frontflip. The call was late and the athlete broke his clavicule(sp). There were no whitnesses, no head coach, and the injuries were severe. The coach got fired 2 weeks after. He was lucky to not be sued.

that guy is a dick, and that probably would put the kid off skiing for a very long time. It will take a year to heal but there is a chance that he will not be able to ski again.
