I know Jib-Life received lot of hate lately, but I dont think we should lose hope.
Maybe it wont be this year, but I'm fairly sure people people calling them Trolls will regret saying this when they finaly get a new skiing game to play with, even if its not as good as people anticipated, it will be refreshing to play something different than jibbin or gnarshmallow.

That "picture" took a lot of fucking work to do in that 3D software. Don't wanna say something I can't back because I'm shit with this stuff, but if they have this "picture," they have got some work done, although I'm still skeptical about all of this
 
i have faith. its only a matter of time before the world relizes what we r doin is a sport. in our life time there most likely will be a realistic ski game.
 
yeah they've been busting their balls but this is one of the saddest attempt at marketing i've ever seen. i mean what do you expect when you get kids all stoked for this game that sounds like it's going to be sick but you have nothing to show for it besides just a few pictures and a dancing character after years of talking about it on NS. i'm sure the game is gonna be sick its just hard not to talk shit about it when they got my hopes up and literally nothing to deliver with.
 
Most peoples faith in this type of thing has a shelf life... It's been nearly ten years and we havnt seen significant progress. Hopefully it comes into fruition someday but it's hard to believe that day will be anytime soon
 
i have alot of experience in 3d modelling and if that took 2 years then they are not ready to make a game.
someone modelling for a game needs to pump out dozens of these a day.
its a troll.
 
Yeah I'm sure you have alooooooot of experience in 3d... This 3d mesh did not take 2 years to make, its a picture of one of the frame in the spinning animation. 12 of theses a day? Just the texturing of that whole character would have took a day. I dont think you understand the difference between Ubisoft and those guys... And yes, maybe the project started 9 years ago, but they started working seriously on it 2 years ago. And to my knowledge, new call of dutys drop every 2 years, and thats only because they are two teams to work on each games (Infinity Ward and Treyarch). So dont expect an amateur team to create a game with advanced physics (skiing) in shorter than 3 years. Unless its a crappy game, and I'm sure they don't want us to play on a crappy game.
 
Skate seemed to pull it off alright.......

one team of people..... 3 games in what 4 years? Sure they could use the old programming from the first game on the next two but thats not the point

9 years ago we were all still thinking N64 was the shit..... 2 systems have come out since then

At this point i consider progress on this game kind of like the Crazy Horse memorial thats supposed to be bigger than mount rushmore....Started a while back and was supposed to be finished a couple years ago, made initial progress and kinda halted. They on't really do much then people start saying "hey is this ever going to be done?" so they stick some dynamite in the rock (or do a bit of 3d work) and throw out a little show for the public

It would be awesome if it came out but i think we've earned the right to be pessimistic in this instance
 
^^^Xbox, Ps2, 360, and Ps3 have all come out in the past 9 years. If you said 10 we could include Dreamcast (that shit was sick). Count them nerd points.
 
skate was made by ea blackbox, a major video game studio with over 1800 experienced video game developers. not exactly the same "team" jib life is working with
 
considering all the time they have taken and still nothin but a picture, maby they consider trying to team up with a major video game company like the black box people or somthin
 
so im wondering... will the all the styles in the game be from 3 years ago??

im concerned that they will not include tall ts..
 
Give him some credit for all the time, effort, & money he has put in. None of you are doing it...

i thought Blackbox wasn't all that succesful until they pitched Skate to EA? could be wrong though

and what team or developer is working on this game?
 
You compared Ea to an small guy with no connections doing a game for the love of the sport not the money. No i know it wasnt just ea on skate. Was it blackbox? Anyways I guarantee Ea/blackbox had probably multiple teams for different aspects of the game.

Now im sure people are gonna correct me but this seems a lot more realist than your idea. I wouldnt be suprised at all if the guy making jib life along with anyone else there has another job. So sorry if your impatient and think the game should be made for your favorite system. In my opinion unless you bought a jib life tee or supported/donated money you have NO REASON TO BITCH about this game.

 
Are you serious? Anyone who has experience with Maya would take less than 10 hours to do that and 10 hours is a generous estimation. 3D modeling isnt some unworldly thing nowadays anyone can pick it up in about a week or two if they care to.
 
Are you really comparing your game to a game like Call Of Duty? You realize how incredibly more complex a game like that is... You literally are a fucking idiot. If you gave a bunch of CompSci kids 2 months to do this project they would of had more completed than you guys have done in 2 years. Hell I could do more in two years on the programming end than you guys have probably done and I havent coded in over 2 years.
 
I completely agree with you, but I think peoples main issue is they are hyping the shit out a game repeatedly and have seen no actual results.

i know things like this takes time + you probably has many tings to do besides making this game!

but if you could prioritice making this game more, i will be very very happy x)
