A full 2-8 inches has fallen and as a consequence the country is coming to a standstill, pathetic.
Wish i lived near a town so i could try my hand at this urban thing you North Americans love so dearly.

haha yep i was talking on facebook with one of my friends from england and his parents were trapped in london and he doesnt have to work today. its like a snowday on roids

Shame it's as flat as a pancake aha

We have literally had a pow day in London, some of my friends took face shots on Hampstead Heath this morning. Yeah, it's because someone threw snow at their faces, but whatever.

Yea, flat as anything in cambridge, cant find anything to ski. Could do with a car pulling me but all my mates cars in england are useless when theres snow out. Literally 10 miles an hour MAX. its pathetic

Yeah it dumping up here in Scotland as well although not as much as down south. Ski centres should open next week though.

yeh i have skied a little. did some 1s, zeros and sw 1s down a 5 stair.. no decent spots near me though

A couple of shots from the BBC! Makes the UK look like some alpine mecca; the home of skiing!!

Stoked for all you Brits. Grab your skis and a shovel, go out and jib something. Also, get vid. Tis a rare thing, I suspect.

yep and my camera has packed up and doesn't work. Was a fun little session though.

I might go to Tamworth and shoot some indoor footy if anyone's down? I can't take much more microecon...

i feel that pain micro is so much harder compared to macro, however econometrics, now there's a real bitch of a subject.

dunno dude, in 2nd year micro was way harder. i'm in 3rd year now and macro is way harder than micro. econometrics is a bitch though you're right.

It goes without saying that econometrics is a bitch

But 2nd year micro is so much more boring than macro. Macro has real world applications, believable models, and is cool. Micro is none of those things.

for me, also a 3rd year but we don't do distinct micro macro modules any more, micro is more interesting but harder that macro, but with macro it's nice to have empirical evidence to back up models.
ps. it better snow again tomorrow.

I really need to get my video together of last year's snow when we went hiking in Wiltshire for some frsh tracks.
No snow in the south west at the moment, but drove back yesterday from french alps and it was hammering it down through kent and the south east.

bath is just damn cold...no flakes yet. im flying back to the states on tuesday tho...this better not mess with my flight

It almost certainly will. We literally cannot handle winter weather. Last year, when 2 inches of snow fell, ALL London buses were cancelled, and the Central Line was suspended, so I missed like a week of uni

Gatwick has been fucked for most of today from what I heard, not having to fly though, so hope it doesn't fuck you up.

Correction on the last part. England (especially the far south can't handle snow). Here in Scotland we are all right but then we get it almost every year so are slightly more prepared. Still just want to go and shred and the ski centres aren't open yet (except Cairngorm which is too much of a trek for a day) and there isn't enough snow at home to hit any urban/local hills...

Driving to germany on mon with low profile tyres should be fun... I honestly hope they've sorted out Dover by then...Knowing my luck I'll be stuck in Dover for like 10 hours though...

I really hope they sort it out for you by then. The UK is having a really shit time with transport at the moment. Fuck living on an island.

But if you get that one day in the UK.

7 Year old park skis, centremounted with broken bindings? Check

Time for a Backcountry shred in the Uk!

I used to live in the UK so I have alot of friends there.. and they basically got the rest of the day off after it snowed like, under an inch.. and my Norwegian friend who was coming back from England to Norway got her flight cancelled after like 2 inches snowed.. its messed up!

I want snowdays, I haven't had one in my 5 years of living in Norway...

Yeah I haven't had a snow day in a couple of years here in Scotland with more than 3" falling at times. It all depends on how prepared they are for the snow and England isn't that prepared because they have other things to pay for and don't get snow that often so aren't as good at dealing with it as say Scotland or Norway.

That being said I enjoyed a nice mini shred on the local golf course today, was nice to ski outside on some snow rather than indoors or on dendex/snowflex....

Yep, we filmed a sick little edit yesterday with the new GoPro. POV handrails are where its at. Dropping soon.

love it!
i have a nice looking rail down the road out side my student house - if the snow stays its getting slayed!

yer buddy i got sent home from school early today got probably about 2inches where i am(southwest) but about 4 miles a way they got 1 foot

yep dumping up here in edinburgh, but no good urban spots unfortunately. the council obviously dont take skiers into consideration when building. idiots.

yeaaa buddayy.
i've been staring out the window watching our drive fill with snow now waiting for it to get deep enough. we have got an old stone water trough attached to our house which is prime but i don't think i could bring myself to screwing my bases that much, i can't afford to screw them too much.

Aha, I have some suspects from last year that are missing half an edge, so are ripe to slide some British steel
