It's dumping in the UK!!

Thats the idea for this evening. 4th pot of coffee down and a rainforests worth of notes and I may, just may, be able to get the planks on tonight.
 
Got over a foot here. Even more on the ski hills but they are all shut due to drifting snow. Still taken a couple of runs these last few days, some wonderful powder around.

Tonnes of snow up in Durham. Plenty on hills too. Just pissed cos my skis are at home in London. Soooo tempted to buy a whole new setup just for some urban. Lol
 
Between leaving my house this morning (5.25am) and getting home (2.40pm), I've had just over an inch of snow. Need more godammit!!
 
for when it does start dumping properly in bristol, anyone know any good spots here? there are a few little pussy 'beginner' spots at my school (more suited to my skill level...).

Im contemplating a road trip down south in a week or so just so i ven get some of the epic urban dumps that have been kicking around down there. I really hope it stays....
 
That looks well nice, Im kinda hoping thatll happen to my local one as well. Either that or im going to go to Kelvin in Glasgow the next big dump cause thatll be awesome.
 
I skied this morning (london suburbia).. nothing exciting, jibbed a local 5stair and the wall down my front steps.. no pics unfortunately, try and get on it tomorrow if the snow stays!
 
I'm coming back from an ACL injury so I won't be hitting that thing in a hurry, it's got a gnarly steep kink on it. There are ledges in the skatepark that are ripe for a job though.
 
^ Hahaha Danny, that is rather hilarious. Good attempt though.

I've had a rather good day skiing as well, my Dad and I built a little kicker, wasn't huge but was enough to get a little air. The landing wasn't what I was expecting and had a few bails. All in all, a really good fun day.
 
So anyone in South south london, Croydon, surry area? We now have 1ft of fresh so im not bothering with work again and im going to find a rail to sesh? Any ideas or anyone wanting to join me?
 
Went mental today with the snow, made a kicker, wheelie bin jib, first ever urban, car skiing, picnic table jibbing. We had five skiers behind a car using kitesurfing lines at about 30 mph through the fresh - so sketchy! Ah cold beer time!
 
Ha. I watched those shitty adverts..waited 24 secs to see ... you push once. I'll be honest was expecting a little more...
 
I expected more as well to be honest. The guy saw me and this boarder in his car then stopped and filmed us for about 10 - 15 mins with his shoulder mounted camera and all that was in that stupid clip was me pushing. Once...

Although I couldn't get enough speed, so most of the time I was just doing straight airs to see how high/far I could get. Hence why in that clip I was pushing like mad.
 
Ha. I've had the same today...skies that are super dry with FA wax, sticky snow and mellow slopes...FUCK loads of pushing! Did have a shady flat bar though...well a scaffold plank all iced up.
 
haha love it. southwest london there can't be more than 3 inches, yet the kids got 2 days off from school, I had yesterday off from uni (already had the day off...damn you timing!) and everything is chaos.

Now back home in boston...3 inches wouldn't even be noticeable. And absolutely nothing would be delayed, changed or closed.

funny to see how this country reacts to snow though.
 
Its an utter disaster isn't it?

Like up here in Scotland people are genuinely panic buying in supermarkets... It's like the frozen apocalypse is upon us.

I on the other hand just bought a bungee launcher so I can go do urban. I can go without eating if I can jib the rails outside my front door :)
