that would be sick! definatly thinking you'll get more urban than pow. i managed to ski on dartmouth 2 winters ago which was pretty funny, too much walking tho. hope you find sumin.
isn't it just, where you flying out of? southampton or bournemouth? i think southamptons got snow, not much though, only this afternoon, meant to snow at night though
im actually flying out of heathrow, maybe abit more central? I just checked the forecast anyway and its only snow tonight for there, so bring on the snow!
you say this but they have already been telling people to reschedule their flights because they predict cancellations. they spend all this money to use at times like this but when the time comes, they don't, or use it but can't use it to its full extent because they don't have the trained personnel.
yeah good point, i may of over exaggerated with them having no problems, but it will be nowhere near as bad as last year even if it did snow the exact same, i don't think think the south will get much snow this year though
fucking plymouth!! the sea has fucked us again. its snowing at home and on dartmoor/exmoor but skis and boots are at home. im really worried for next weekend and my flights out of bristol, looks like it might snow again! i would kill some puppys.
Crazy.. I live in Portsmouth too! Year before last when it dumped I jibbed the Pyramids & a couple of spots along the beach/common. All I've seen is rain so far!!
I can't wait to watch the news his evening, "Pandemonium across Britain as severe weather leaves families stranded". It's so funny how the entire country manages to break down and cry!
Sick, I know Clanfield, I used to mountain bike at QEP loads and went to Havant college so had a few mates from Horndean/Clanfield.
Re. how I live in Japan/Chile, I ski instruct, started doing it just so I could ski for free and 6 years later it seems to be becoming a bit of a career.
haha nice - Where/who did you take your instructor qualification? I'm currently training as a outdoor instructor at Calshot Activities Centre. Thinking I might go back to Whistler in the future to get a CSIA Level 2 and instruct there.
Snowed a ton in Birmingham last night while we had ski races going on at a dry slope (Ackers), ironically most people stopped skiing. Did put the snow to good use though.
this is fantastic, fellow portsmouth NSer's, i live in portchester as well, second year at southdowns as well, any of you portsmouth boys drive to hemel/calshot? would be sick to jump a lift with you guys, petty money included.
For all you Leeds NS'ers out there, we hit royal park rail at about midnight last night, is a real nice street rail, not to difficult in Royal Park. Hitting it again the rest of today if anyone want to come.
Crazy small world. I went to South Downs. I didn't realise there were too many people from the UK on here.. let alone PORTSMOUTH!! I go up to Hemel probably once/twice a month on Friday park nights. Need to get back on snow, I've just got back from a 5 week trip to Canada and seriously missing the white stuff! What happens down at Calshot? Any park sessions?
haha I went to South Downs as well, did the outdoor ed course 6 years ago. Calshot has dry slope - freestyle nights on wed nights. Haven't done one yet, don't know what there like. i guess shit for jumps, ok for rails.
I have NZSIA certs, which I'd recommend if you want to work in the southern hemisphere, as Canadian quals aren't recognised that well outside of Canada. If you just want to do a few seasons in Canada though they are obviously perfect!
edinburgh got fuck all snow. saying that i did go skiing in glenshee yesterday and had an awesome day on the kind of park set up they had. i want to go ski some urbans so bad though.
