Its cool...I searchbarred it

I realize that NS does not want to be overwhelmed with threads consisting of the same idea over and over. However, I dont get it when someone brings up a topic, either unique or getting tired, members offer harrasement in the form of "search bar it". Its pretty fair to say that tastes change, NS gets new members, or old members may have missed the "original" thread. Opinions change every day, ESPECIALLY on Newschoolers. Why has searchbarring became such a big deal? Should people really just bump thread ideas from years ago? I love nS as much as everyone, but I suppose my all ready laughable karma rating will take a serious blow for this one...

The idea is to searchbar old threads, read through for an answer, if you don't find it bump the thread, or create a new thread that's specific to what you want.

Kids write "searchbar it" when it's been brought up or discussed thoroughly before and it's pointless to make a new thread about. For instance... this topic.

lol, nice

I guess I should have made myself more clear. This is in regards to opinion threads....so if you want NS's opinion, would an age old thread really deliver the true opinion of Newschoolers, a site that is constantly changing? However, the color of your name carries a lot of weight behind it, so your response will probibally be correct...

i see what your saying, but sometimes the ignorant creator of the thread didnt bother to look into it at all and it has been discussed in detail that probably answers their question/covers their topic or whatever. thats just annoying

the thing is, opinionative threads pop up ALL THE TIME, on the SAME EXACT TOPICS. for example, i bet you could find 2-3 each on either shaun white, simon dumont, tall tee, or double/triple opinions in the past 2 months.

thats awesome. on two accounts:

1: This post will match them

2: I had less karma before making this thread. Usually, my posts generate hate and mistrust, not discussion and karma. nice

also getting new threads are nice because it filters out all the arguments and useless bullshit that other older threads contain that always never end on the topic they are discussing.
why i like new threads.....
