and I'm finally walkng again. Had microfracture knee surgery. Not walking well, but in time I will be. And I'll be healthy for next winter. Thanks to NS for helping me pass the hours laid up on a couch.

stupid question but the name is kinda throwing me off. Is a microfracture worse then a fracture?

Microfracture is the name of the surgery. It's for torn knee cartilage. They remove broken cartilage, then drill small holes in the bone causing blood flow and the growth of fibrocartilage.

Actually.....it was a very non painful surgery.....just no walking on it. ACL reconstruction was waaaay worse.
