Its always the last place

When your looking for something I don't understand why people say "It's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you found it? Do people do this?

I think the correct phrase is, "It's always in the last place you'd look." As in, it's always in the last place you WOULD look, meaning that it's probably in a less obvious place than you thought you left it, not that it's in the last place that you do look. Just thought I'd clear that up...

I respectfully disagree.

You say "It's always in the last place you look." because it is obvious. Or at least that is how I say it. Kind of like "sucks to be you, but hope you find what you are looking for." I am not going to change this behavior.

kind of like, "well, where did you put it last?"

and they're like "IF I N3W THN I WUDNT BE LOOKING 4 IT GAWDDD!"

Well you have obviously been saying it wrong.
The saying actually goes, "It's always in the last place you'd think to look."
Nice thread.

Who is the comedian who said this? I forget who but i saw there special on comedy central. Good job stealing there joke.
