The day we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! Big White is excited to announce it will OPEN, Tomorrow Tuesday 9th December!

The Plaza Chair will open for skiers and snowboarders from 8:45 until 3:30pm. Lara’s Gondola will be operating for access between the Village Centre and Happy Valley between 7:45 and 5:00pm. The Happy Valley Day lodge is open between 8:00am and 5:00pm.

On Wednesday 10th December, The Ridge Rocket Express will also open between 8:45 and 3:30 and will allow access to Serwa’s, Easy Out, Highway 33 and Easy Street runs giving local powder hounds a taste of what’s to come. Get your skates ready as the Skating Rink will also open on Wednesday for family fun between 11am and 5pm.

Opening day tickets are $35 for all ages and can be purchased at The Village, Happy Valley and The Ridge Ticket Offices. There will be 25% off all rentals and Ski & Snowboard School products from opening day as a limited offer until further notice due to early season conditions.

All Opening Day promotions will be valid Wednesday 10th December. All opening weekend promotions including the Salvation Army Learn to Ski Package will be valid on the 13th and 14th of December. Parking will available at the Happy Valley Day Lodge until the Black Forest parking lot is opened.
 
I went riding for about 4 hours today on that one run, it was pretty full of gapers but not as crowded as I thought. Everyone was having an awesome time doubly because it snowed like mad almost all day.

It's amazing how many skiers including instructors I saw on twintips and even more amazing that I didn't see a single other skier ride backwards or do even a 180 that entire 4 hours...

Was anyone else out today, or possibly coming out for the much better tomorrow?

I'll be out all day most likely, bright orange 1080s bright green poles both with some NS stickers on them, oakley wisdoms and a black bandana. Would be sick to ride with some NSers.

Ryan spotted me right outside the village mall and we ripped it for part of the day, MAD steeze from him I was stoked that i'll get to ride with skiers so much sicker than I am :P +karma

It was SO good today went from 9 til 2, sunny and fresh snow, to a guy from winnipeg in the prairies it was unbelievable fun. I will be out all day every day this week/weekend hope to see more NSers!

i really wish i went up today, i did nothing in classes all day and it looked like such a sweet day. whateverr saturday and sunday will be just as good i hope, i better be seein everyone out there this weekend! i'll be rockin a purple coat and neon green pants so holla!
 
I sat at work and shot a picture of Steve Avery with a nail gun from about 20ft away....hahahaha...You would definitely be amazed at how far they still sink from that disatance....I guess that is what 120psi will do. I couldnt imagine shooting myself with one...

Ill be up Saturday sliding around. Neil Ill give you a shout before I head up there. Im assuming you guys arent going to be working??

Paul, for sure give me a ring. Flynn says the earliest we'll be doing anything is monday next week so we have so much time to rip it.

I was saying to Ryan my NS sticker pack came in and ive still got a small pile left so if you guys want a few let me know and i'll bring them down.
 
Pat, you still wearing your HH suit? Ill be rolling around on my jibs, wearing a bright blue coat, brown pants.... Im sure it won't be too hard to find you.
 
i should have on a purple coat and neon green pants. look for a short kid with arg's haha, shouldnt be hard to find!

and yeah im down ryan, im sure we'll all see eachother and have a few runs
 
Haha hell yeah i'm riding every day, ripped it for a bit with Ryan 2 days in a row now. We got the 15 minute chairlift stop steeze on 2nd run, ryan did some sick grabs :S

See you guys saturday, when is everyone showing up?

I'll be ripping it by 9 am, I'll try and chill at the bottom of the bullet around 10 am just yell if you see me on the slopes. It was sick today tomorrow will be better STILL snowing out there.
 
i was up both days stayed overnight it was sick got first trakcs of 2 feet of light snow on the black forest
 
Just finished the morning working in the park, put some nice rails in. Crew has been working for the last few days and our uniforms are so sick haha, park should be open friday.

Gotta run, just home for lunch!
 
The small lane is set up with all ride on stuff, we set up a few big street style rails today in the L/M lanes and actually it will be really sick when it opens. The plan is to have some medium jumps as well I think although snow is still iffy in alot of places. There's a box with a log stood up before it for a bonk should be fun, not sure what else we're building in the coming days.
 
im not skiing this year because of school, and im just figuring out how much winter sucks... it's not good man, its cold and shit. my car slips around... winter is bullshit, i just never realized because i was distracted by skiing.
 
welll im headed up shortly and its -25 so it should be a fun day because the park is open JEA.
 
First day the park is open and I wake up with a throbbing headache... blargh. Oh well, theres tomorrow. Ryan tommy said you were ripping it hard today :)
