So last week I was out at Mt. Hood while my kids attended Windells. I was on my way up to T-Line, when I picked up a hitchiker (first time ever!!!) just out of Government Camp. Figured it was safe since Govy is just a peaceful, yet wild and crazy little ski town. One love kinda place.

Anyway, we got to talking a bit, and before too long the guy says, "Hey......are you Mary O'Neil?!?" hahaha. The guy said he had heard of me from NS's!! Talk about a coincedence haha. Gotta love the ski community....right??

Oh and last year, I was sitting at the bar up at Timberline Lodge ordering a Pepsi, and the bartender says..."Are you Mary O'Neil??" Hahah, same story. He heard of me from NS'ers. His name was Joey Ciprari!!

Anyone else have some funny or interesting ways of meeting NS or other online friends?

I went to hyland once with my buddy, (to meet maryO of cours), and there was like 1 skier there. we got scared and left

Truly, I don't think there is an ns'r that doesn't wish deep down that you were their mom or aunt or cousin or any other kind of relation to you.

What the hell, I'd freak out if that happened to me, I guess I missed the part where OP is a well-known member on NS

Aha I'm gonna be in MN end of the month. Maybe I need to go to hyland regardless of the season...... Anyways is it safe to dub Mary O the Mother of Freeski.

Mary! I said hey at the runout to the parking lot at the end of the day to you last week. Grey hoodie probably, red skinny pants? That was me. I think I asked you how your day went.

Anyway, you're pretty well known. It was awesome to speak with you even briefly, you have a great attitude.

Ha cmon you guys have less hills than we do! jk maybe if there's a nice sounding hill? And boomie ben, you get to go hood, you don't need help having fun! Okok come with

I do remember about 3 or 4 riders skied past me on the way out, all saying Hey Mary O, but I don't remember you specifically, sorry.

And thanks for all the very nice words everyone. I really appreciate it, and you put a smile on my face:)

And Joey "JoJo" Ciprari was a perfect gentleman. Course I was at the bar with my husband haha. Gotta say my hubby is a bit amazed, and probably annoyed, at all the shout outs I get haha.
