Read a comment on another site that said they serve a different type of beer into the larger cup? Could be better, or maybe more alcohol content? Not completely sure on this, take it with a grain of salt.

could also have to do with the fact that they probably don't fill the small cup to the brim like they did.

i know at fenway if you order a beer, its filled all the way up regardless of size, which causes you to lose 1/4 of it while walking.
