Ok, so the word is now from all the cynical bastards (me included) is that the Saddam capture was a fake. there are arguments agaisnt and for it... but i will post those later. so what do YOU think? i thinks it a hoax.

yeah it is a fake and the 500 troops that were supposedly involved in it said nothing when they really sat in their camps, also the saddam they 'captured' is president bush with a ton of makeup on

well think about it, he was found in a small hole with some guns. and the 2 men protecting him were seen fleeing just as the troops arived. don't you think that Saddam would have rather pulled a hitler and killed himself then surrendered? and also, i dont think that the american gov't would tell the 500 troops in Iraq that it's a hoax. i think that only a selsected few would know. and when Saddam surrendered, he came out of his little hole and told them his name was Saddam Husein. do you think if it was actually him he would've said that? i don't. and it's plausible that it wasnt the american gov't settin it up. could've been Saddam that set it up to protect himself.

SURE. Maybe we caught a double or something, but it doesn't matter. Hear me out: Saddam Hussein has merely been the figurehead of a dead regime since we entered Iraq. He hasn't exactly been controlling a government or military for a while, now, and his capture is, essetntially, for lack of a better word, 'closure' for Iraqis. If we didn't catch the real Saddam, he's probably still sitting in some OTHER hole in some OTHER farm. At this point, he poses no threat.

True. He still served as an icon for terror while he was on the run. The fact that he wasn't captured may have inspired the resistance against the US. Now that he's captured it more than likely will subside because the fact that Saddam will not come back to power. It was a defineate moral booster for the troops over there.

Also, there is starting to be more images of the 'captured' Saddam coming about that in my opinion dismiss the theory that he is still on the run. I guess we'll see in the weeks to come.
