I'm leaving for Italy in 5 days. I've never really traveled before except like to NC. Does anyone have any suggestions for any sites or anything should see, or precautions i should take?

My parents just came back from Italy like 2 weeks ago! Bring lots of money. Don't carry all of your money at any one time. Gypsy kids go around stealing money. Happened to someone on my Mom's tour. Drink lots of water. Stare at lots of hot chicks!

I was in Italy in January- its beautiful I hope you have a great time! Watch out for your money. If you have a bag carry it on your front instead of your back. Also, you might want to get a money pouch that you hang around your neck. They're a bit of a pain in the ass but they work well. And tuck them into your pants too so they can't cut the cord and take it without you noticing.

The only place they told us it wasn't safe to drink the water was Florence, and its best to brush your teeth in bottled water too. Have a great time!!!

For the person who got their money stolen...on my mom's tour she was sitting on a bus. And she had her money pouch on her waist. By the time she got off the bus for a while she noticed it was gone then! Some gypsie kid went in got the money and zipped it back up without her knowing! That's insane!
