Issue with Faction Candide serie

Anybody got problems with their Faction Candide 1.0 or 2.0 ?

So I bought a pair of Candide 1.0 this summer and rode them for 10 days and half of them I didn't do rails only butters before they broke. They we're still on warranty so they sent me this year's 2.0. But I still had the same problem, my edge cracked underfoot like the first pair I got and this timeit broke in only 6 days or so...

I'm wondering if this time I should only ask to get reimbursed and buy some shreditor or maybe some ON3P

Pictures of the damage? Every ski is going to get edge cracks if you ski rails, just a matter of time before it happens. Sometimes it takes a year, sometimes it takes 2 days.

Alright so my first Faction 1.0 broke like this after 10 ish days of skiing with them

And then I got those Faction 2.0 from this year and they broke at the exact same spot the exact same way at 10 ish days too

I'd like to get the 2.0 againbecause they we're the funnest skis I've ridden but I don't want skis that wont last me until the end of the season.

So do you think it's bad luck and I got two skis with manufacture problems or that they are relatively cheap ?

You could try to warranty them. If that doesn't work, then I suggest putting some 2 part epoxy in them and clamping them for 24-48 hours in a vice. I've had to do that to a few pairs of skis and it works fine. Just make sure to use good epoxy or it won't hold.

Oy fellas!

Anyone knows what means B quality in terms of Faction Candide 3.0 series?

Is the durabilty affected or is it just a topsheet disain thing?

Cheers

You slide and slam your skis on big ice jumps and metal rails and yes they will break.

Theses skis are supposed to be made for that... I've never had a pair broke on me like that and with faction it's the second pair I broke not even half way into the season don't act like it's supposed to happen

Not sayings it's supposed to happen like that it probably isn't. But let's be real man. You never know if you caught your skis on a bur or something or landed weird on a jump. Shit happens. Try to warranty them.

Yes thats what I did I got a new pair of 2.0 I'll probably sell them and get a pair of ON3P instead

i had identical problems with edge on last years 1.0s but then the whole base came away from the ski. like you i wanted this years 2.0s and got them, but fuck they are fragile. paper thin bases are getting core shots all the time and my mates who i ride with aren't at all. also the edges are crazy thin.

great customer services but shit durability

I have never rode any if i were you i would get a refund and get Volks

You should probably explain why you're running around this form saying everyone should buy Volkls. There far from the most durable ski.

OP, the first photo looks like a warranty issue. However the second appears to be damage from sliding rails. This is not a warranty issue. And for the record that ski is not broken like the first one. All I'm seeing there is delamitation from sliding rails. The ski is still skiable.

Yes thats what it looked like a week ago, now it's starting to get a very delaminated underfoot with a couple of edge cracks... I tried to fix it with epoxy it's not the best fix but its keeping the water from getting into the ski

Guys, what you think, is Faction fixed problem with durability of skis in last 17/18 season?

May be someone have trusted inside info from manufacturer?

I want to buy CT 3.0 17/18, but fear because have heard a lot information about issues with 16/17 line and more earlier lines.

i havent ridden a pair, and i dont wanna talk shit, but multiple people i talked to last year had a bunch of durability issues with 17/18 1.0s and 2.0s. They all got warrantied but sounds like the durability was not there at all
