Is windells really worth the money.

yeah i know windells is dope but 1 week of sking with pros and sick set ups, is it really worth almost 2 grand.
 
It's not just skiing with pros and sick set-ups your also paying for supervision, teachers, lodging, and food.
 
once again. there are other threads about this. shit is dope. everything is dope. pros are dope. YES ITS WORTH THE MONEY
 
1600 is a lot of money, but if you really think about what you get it is a great value. Even a conventional ski trip with hotels and lift tickets and whatnot will set you back alot.
If you can make it happen, go!
 
for how much you learn and how fun it is, yea its worth it. think about those really good days in the spring where theres just a good vibe and your not afraid to try anything, now imagine that with the step by step help of the best pros in the world. windells is the most fun i'v had in a terrain park
 
Its the same for any ski camp but:

think how much a normal ski trip out west costs

flights

90 lift tickets

100 dollar hotel rooms

rental cars

food

Now add all that up and it comes really damn close to the cost of a camp, if not more, except at camp you get to be with pros as well as doing the all the activities when you're not skiing

 
bingo. i always hear people say they would rather use the money for a trip during the winter, but when it comes down to it, 1,400-1,800 is a great price for food, lodging, car to the mountain, lift tickets, rentals (they have a sick demo place thats free), and everything else. i mean, you pay for the session and then you basically don't have to worry about a thing, they take care of you quite well. probably cheaper than most ski trips to be honest
 
dude go!! 1600 bucks may be alot, but its definitely worth it. I mean steve stepp is there...thats my whole point.

And yeah, if you look at how you could spend your money for something else... like ppl spend 100 bucks for alcohol and stuff a month, or ppl have a wreck and shit like that..so just lay back and chill out and go
 
Yeah, I'm going for 2 sessions as my like birthday christmas present for like 4 years. I'm going sessions 4-5, i can like do some easy rails and 360 and 540 what are practical goals for tricks I can learn while I'm out there?
 
Yes. Windells is so damn cool! I always wish I could've gone when I was a kid. I've been around the campus a bit and its such a cool place. The pictures and video really don't do it justice, the place is literally a massive skatepark. Plus, awesome coaches.
 
so worth it. you learn so much. i litterally hit more jumps during my one week at windells than i did all last winter. now they have 2 rope tows and the bag jump too. the facilities at windells are sick too, you never get bored and your always having fun
 
not realy in europe you can get 2 month of skiing for this price.

in les 2 alpes you dont even have to pay the lift ticket.
 
true, but for americans is windells the best!

yeah if you life in france,switzerland,austria you can ski for 1000 bucks the whole season...sommer-glacier-skiing is more expensive then
 
IT DEPENDS. If you have money to spend, and you can also decide BETWEEN ONE WEEK AT WINDELLS OR THE FULL SUMMER AT THE PUBLIC PARK FOR HALF THE PRICE. I'd think on a decent snow year where you can ski the public park using the lift most of the summer for half the price that'd be smarter.

Or for a little more than the price of windells you could go to South America and ski pow, or get multiple season passes for the next winter.
 
Yeah it is. But if you're over 16 you might get a little bored. Just cause you'll want more freedom then Windells offers. Especially if all of your friends are there shredding the public park. But it's still rad.

plus. if you save a little more, you can do so much more, for so so much longer. Who the fuck pays $100 per person per night for a room?
 
Maybe its me but for 1600 w/out travel kinda seems like a rip off. But who's to judge, if you are old enough go to chile this summer.(I'm doing it) 1000 for ticket 600 for 8 days in portillo and food payed for etc so same price but 8 days of good snow........
 
dude windells is legit. i feel like it should of cost more. they give u the chance to win so much free stuff. like one of my homies came home wit 2 new coats that he won. easly like 600 bucks. they throw out free swag every nite. there park is so damn bomb, the skate parks are bomb. they let u demo all of next years shit. witch is priceless. i went last year im goin again this year. its worth it fur damn sure.
 
I just swung by there today. The new concrete bowl looks like so much fun, not to mention they have some legit dirt jumps there, and thats just on the campus.
 
My mom was trying to not let me go because I got 5 stitches that cost 700 dollars..................buy I worked it out.....still debating if im going or not.
 
Dammit! Ok so I know alot of you payed for camp in here but also alot of kids parents did. I'm not trying to hate but I'm not even allowed to go on my own money. I decided that if I planned to go next summer I would be allowed to because I'll be 17 but I guess my parents don't think so. Rant over
