Is This The Right Mac For Me?

this is true. whether you spend 2000 or 500, it's gonna average out to about 2-3 years. you may as well spend $500 and get a new one every 3 years, than $2000 and try and make it last 5 (or 12), because it won't. you know it.
 
false. i thought the same thing when i bought mine, and its getting pretty damn full pretty damn quick. especially with editing (gotta store all that footage), and the increasing amount of HD video out there 500 gb is actually quite small.

now granted you COULD buy an external HD (or rather a second since id hope youll get a backup drive) but i personally would rather have the storage in the computer.
 
I just want to add, if you are going to school and are using it to type up papers. Make sure you get Mircosoft Word for Mac. it will be impossable without it.
 
i currently have a 320gb external usb cord tho. should be alright for awhile. anyone know how to get the student discount on a refurb?
 
this is true. i just like internal because i travel a lot, and externals are kind of a pain when im trying to watch shit on a plane or whatever.
