Is this the Preseason?

So now that we are in mid-August, does this count as the preseason? When does skiing usually start for everyone?
 
Shitty. I hope I don't get a crappy season this year because last year was soo good (for our mountain). Knock on wood.
 
That is fuckin' good. Where do you live? Mine usually starts November 11th- December 1st, anywhere in that range.
 
early-mid november but theres quite a few fall rail jams in minnesota so idk early i guess if u count ice shavings lol
 
when snow falls on the hills, so late october.

But this is pre-pre-season, cuz the mags are comin out, and shops are gonna start carrying winter gear.
 
My season starts somewhere in November, or if its really a good season mid-late October, when our hill starts to make snow.
 
Every year the seasons' end blurs into the beginning of the next. We had end of May rail jams on snow and a Ski movie premiere in the beginning of August so, June and July are the off-season.

Pre-season starts with the release of the films. I am calling the IF3 in Montreal the start of the ski season.
 
umm now! or maybe like july?! haha i dry rail alot with friends so were always doing something yeah yeah yeah plus there are alot of rail jams in august comin up
 
ski roundtop in pa usualy december 8th ish one year it opend up november 25 that was just one slope that was roughly 900 ft long and then later in the year we got 3 ft of snow hell yea!!! shit was SICK
 
november is when i start skiing in lake louise

but if were talking snowwise and when it starts then it has to be october
