Is this mount fucked?

Normally I'd just look at it myself, but I'm not at the same location as my wife at this moment and I can't tell from the description/picture.

I bought her some Moment Sierra's this year as a gift and she got herself some Barons to toss on there. Unfortunately, where we live isn't exactly riddled with tech experts so she risked trying a local shop. Below is the result. She is pointing at the midsole mark on her boot and the recommended mark on the ski is easily visible 3-4 cm forward of that. She's never had an A/T binding so I trust her as much as the tech in this case but she seemed certain that the heel was in the locked position (which I strongly question by the picture and his description of how he mounted off the paper jig).

Does the heel slide back that much with this binding in A/T mode? I've never used a Baron so I have no clue. 3-4 cm seems waaaaaaay off to just fuck away a mount unless you've literally never done it before. Does this binding look to be in touring mode? It looks like the red latch is behind what I think is the pivot point, AKA in touring mode and neither of them realize it.

Click for full size image, and I'm more and more convinced that they are both ignorant on AT setups as I compare this pic to others of Barons. It looks like it's in AT mode to me, which logically would account for the boot being that far aft of center.

The mid point of the boot is meant to be over that midpoint of the ski right? Perhaps the bindings are just adjusted so that they sit farther back but can be adjusted forwards ?

Nah man, toe pieces don't move like that. You are referring to the heelpiece being adjustable. However, she just sent me another photo and the binding is clearly in the touring mode. She obviously needs some learning on her new gear and this tech should be embarrassed. I'll get a hold of him in the morning before he does something stupid.

The obvious answer is that they mounted in the wrong spot. But In tour mode they do slide back about 2-3cm. mounting that far forward may mess with the balance point of the ski when touring, and of course the downhill performance. she could defiantly ride them, but it baffles me why they would mount the midsole line on the recommended line of the ski while in AT mode.
