just wondering, has anyone ridden behind this boat? i know its an older model but the price seems okay ish. im sure i could talk him down.

i think my primary concern is talking my dad into it.

19k sounds like a ripoff to me, but then again the only boats i've ever been in have been bought at sick bargain deals. wicked boat though.

get it down to 16kish. and i hope you;re going to drive it before you buy. my friend just got an amazing deal on an 03' MC maristar for 22k.

i plan on driving it and taking it to a marine mechanic. i was thinking talk him to 17 with the trailer. it worked out well cause i looked on a large scale website (autotrader) and this guy happened to be on my lake.

If he's on your lake you should definitly ask him to test drive it. And 19,000 sounds like alot, a little too much. I've seen those boats on the lake before though, i'm pretty sure you can also wake skate(?) behind them too.

I say yes, thats very high. I dont know why wakeboats are so pricey, your not getting much of a boat, unless most of it is for the horsepower.

def too pricey..i would try to get him down to around 14ish..youre right, its an older model and when boats get old they depreciate. but no matter what you do, dont pay 19 for it

the hotel i work for has the same boat basically just a 2007 its really sick and i love when i get to spend my 8 hrs driving people around on the lake, other then that i got nothing for you haha

hey its a good deal, but you shouldnt be buying a boat right now with gas being so flexible you should use your money on something else

as someone who is an avid wakeboarder, lived on a lake my whole life, and WORKED for a mastercraft dealer in minnesota, i would have to say that boat is awesome. So quick outa the water because its not a V-drive. really good all around boat too, plenty of room, not just a wake monster, so pops can ski behind it really well if thats what he's into. I personally have to put some more sacks in there for a bigger wake, but not a must at all. The hours arnt bad on it for the price. i would like to see that boat go for less $, but you have to remember mastercrafts depreciate much slower than any other comparable boat company.
just ask to make sure the sack pumps work, they go fast if they get clogged/ if ur careless, and make sure the perfect pass works, thats what buying a 2000 or newer boat is all about, setting that perfect pass and just let it ride. I recommended this boat for a wakeboard/ski school called WakeTonka, and they love it. This boat is simply the best overall watersports boat u can have, it does it all, and is super fast.

hey bud you gotta get your facts straight before you go off calling someone retarded (clever comeback btw) otherwise you just make yourself look like a little faggot.

ye tim its a sick boat is that the one john has? cause if it is i was gonna go behind it but i didnt get around to it. but check out the muskoka store down in gravenhurst they have a brand new moomba outback with a tralier for like 15,00 i think but not quite sure on the price u should drive down and take a look at it

Try to get them down around 15. What are you going to be using the boat for mainly? It's a great direct drive if that is what you are looking for.

Good one smart ass...

There are actually many other things that you can use a wakeboarding boat for besides wakeboarding and some of them lend themselves better to certain things than others. And actually if he is going to use it for wakeboarding then there are other boats that he should be looking at over that one even at that price point. So next time you want to make yourself look cool try knowing your shit first.

i apreciate the help, guys.

dude if this is the roughly the year you guys used what would you say the wake was like? i really wanted something with a tall poppy wake. i havent had a chance to ride behind it yet but i will.

oh and to those guys discussing it, the boat is a 21 footer. really shoulda mentioned that.

i went and looked at it today and i gotta say, it looks like a sick boat, but it barely has any beam. its only like 6.5 feet wide or something.

im from central ontario. but if you knew where to get a deal that was worth the trip i would be willing to drive it.

my facts are straight, unlike you! o0o0o0o

like i said, buying a master craft you are defiantly paying alot for the name, and yes i knew it wasent 16 ft, so i said 19 and it turns out being a 21 foot boat, so i think my facts are pretty straight if these are considered facts, because i also own a MC.

oh btw noob you've only been here since august 5th so GTFO touchhole

that price is a little steep. 410 hours is average, u should get that down to like 15 of 16k like that one guy said. mastercrafts hold their value though

hahah i agree..fuckin noobs these days think they no everything...u r right....its all about the name u pay for...just like in everything

440 is alot of hours for 19k it loks like only a 16ft i wouldnt pay more then 12k

but here is my advice passed down from generations, if it flies, floats or fucks, rent dont buy

try to get it for 18K if its in really good condition. and ive rode behind that exact boat a hundred times, sac in the back and ski locker is a good wake, but i put two more on each side and another over the ski locker or in the back depending. And that wake is so nice, very poppy and steep, but not redic by any means

all i know is that is a deceiving picture, it def doesnt look 21ft. it doesnt look an inch longer then 16ft. though i just looked it up 2001 x5 are just shy of 21 ft. i used to have an 19.5ft bayliner (my first boat) that i would think would drarwf that boat. any way 3 boats later i am up to a 32ft proline express off sure fisher
