Is this a good tramp

ok i cant tell you fo sure, but we have a trampoline club at uconn and we have a coach who coached olympic athletes, and one of the tramps in our gym is from the 96 atlanta games, pretty cool, anyways he buys his stuff used for like 5,000 for just the bed and like the same amount for the frame.... so a truly good tramp is gonna cost u 5 figures pretty much. I know youre not looking for that but that only leads me to assume that this thing isnt gonna give you as much bounce as a true olympic tramp or (less likely) shits gonna break. I dont think anything for that price is a POS (except like a used car) but the black bed concerns me, i think it may be just an oversized backyard tramp, and god forbid you spend 2,000 on a backyard tramp......

if anything i would try to find an old ass olympic tramp, they never really lose the elasticity (i think)

this is a real NEWB opinion, this is all based on how much my coach said he pays for his tramps

o and don't be fooled by the fabric they say they use.... its the "#1 trampoline fabric" leading me to belive it is your backyard shizzzz.... just do some more research

I will tell you categorically that ANY black bed trampoline is a low grade trampoline. You need a string bed to be considered a 'good' trampoline. I personally like Ross beds the most, and Aussie second, Eurotramp is sick too. A brand new non-folding frame aussie bed and springs trampoline costs $4200. A new folding frame ross bed and springs tramp is about $9000.
You are WAAAAY better off spending $4200 on the aussie tramp than spending $1700 on some piece of shit (yes, piece of shit) black bed trampoline. But if you have a 7x14 frame, you can just upgrade your bed/springs.

Go to springboardsandmore.com for aussie tramps. reboundproducts.com for ross tramps. Also try searching craigslook.com for Olympic trampoline and see what you can find (also try nissen tramp, euro tramp, 7x14 tramp, aussie tramp, etc).
And if you are in Colorado, I seen this baby for sale recently: http://denver.craigslist.org/spo/1878527433.html
There was an even sicker deal around in Cali a little while ago, but the post expired.
PS - if any of you know where I can buy a cheap duraflex diving board, please PM me.

so is a black bed trampoline always gonna be backyard ish or COULD it give you more height than that but just break?

a black bed trampoline is always going to be inferior to a good string bed. always. even if you cross the springs and double bounce, you will always be able to go bigger on a string bed with ease.
spend the extra 1500 and buy the non-folding aussie bed set up. its worth it.
