Is this a big problem??????

i just got the line afterbangs and they mounted the binding backwards they are centre mounted and it says they are totally symmetrical.

will this affect my ability to ski??

if the ski is totally symetrical and they are mounted dead center it won't matter at all. just kind of annoying that they did it backwards.

go back to the shop and tell them to give you new skis because they fucked up pretty big time. you could get them remounted but i hate it when shops fuck something up that i could easily do myself. its their job and they dont know what to do. symmetrical skis are always supposed to be true center mounted because the core center is the true center. its just pointless to rear mount and your skis wont set edges correctly.

i believe the ski is 100% symmetrical. so it won't make a difference if they mounted them backwards as long as they're still center mounted.

but you're going to look like a joey with backwards afterbangs.

This happened to my ski too... Line had the center line a little far back on both skis. So when you flip the mount the bindings are off by a quarter of an inch of eachother or so. I brought them into the shop and they insisted that it wouldnt cause any problems so I am going to ski them when my hill opens and if they feel different im going back with my glock. Except no really, but i am going back.

this thread is knda confusing but if they were my afterbangs id get one mounted one way and the other the other way just so it doesnt look like you have the same graphic on both skis which gets kinda old.

even if you don't exchange them go to the shop and try and get some free gear or voucher for tuneup from that shop. if you're pleasant about it they will probably hook you up with something decent for their mistake to keep you as a customer.

The ski is symmetrical, because of this you are able to mount the skis either way to mix up the skis. I think it looks cooler with the graphics flip-flopped.
