Is there still any hikable/skinnable terrain in Tahoe?

Drove back home from CO to the Bay Area last Wednesday and passed through Tahoe. I drove over Donner Pass and pulled into the Sugar Bowl parking lot to see if there was anything there that was hikable or able to be skinned up but there wasn't even snow to the base. Not even close to enough coverage for skiing aside from setting up some jibs.

Is there anywhere in Tahoe that has some decent lines with coverage on my way back to CO next week? Anybody want to join me? Got all my BC and touring gear with me so hopefully I didn't drag it out for nothing. Also open to skiing anywhere on the Nevada side as well as I've heard there's some awesome lines on the eastern side.

red lakes snow park out on 88 on the way to kirkwood, the rountop/ sisters, moon chute area you can basically ski year round, should be a easy hike to get to the snow and easy skinning from their, i dought at this point you can skin the whole way, but like i said it hold snow, patch is out their also but its prob to early for that

I hiked to the very top of Alpine today, still plenty of snow to ski all the way to the bottom!

Sweet. Thanks for the intel. What part did you ski? Haven't been there for years. Used to ride there all the time in HS.

we skinned straight up from the lodge to the top of Roundhouse chair, then up the Alpine Bowl groomer to the big weather station on top of the ridge.

from there we skied the Keyhole zone skiers right, and then just chairline on Roundhouse

Nice! Sounds like fun. I'll have to find a place to car camp the night before around there and skin up either there or Carson Pass.

sonora or tioga would be your best bet. Know its a drive but theres a lot of snow out there. Sonora is open all the way, Tioga should open soon

damn, my plans had to change. didn't bring a warm enough sleeping bag for camping the next few nights. like a dumbass, i didn't expect the temps to drop into the 20's at night so I gotta scratch my plans unless the weather forecast suddenly changes. i was super stoked to ski tahoe again after not being back here for a few years/growing up skiing around here.

probably gunna try to huff it out to Alta in one day unless something better pops up and tahoe gets back in my plans. thanks for the suggestions guys. much appreciated.
