is there anywhere good to ski in wisconsin

There is a hill called Tyrol Basin it will be the only good hill. There are some sick riders there. Look for Grandpa Hammersly, Grimmy, Porno Dave the Ma$e boyz . It is a good place for the midwest.

Peace

need2ski- you are a total dumbass. Its at least 13 hours driving to colorado and probly as far to vermont cause you have to go through the lakes. Your skills really do blow.

Its more than 13 hours. I live in Laramie, Wyoming, which is about 2 and a half hours to Summit County. My brother is going to college in Appleton, Wisconsin (about 2 hours from Madison, I think). It took us 19 hours to get from Laramie to Appleton.

Thanksgiving is kind of a weird holiday. I mean, we're celebrating the one time in history we got along with the Native Americans. Its like a date rapist saying 'We should concentrate on the great dinner we had before the evening started.'

Nope. i make the drive to colorado from milwaukee every year. it is 13 hours max even 12 hours if you drive 90+ through nebraska. thats not a ver long drive anyway you can make a nice long weekend out of it.

But back to wisconsin.

As of right now tyrol basin is the best park

although cascade has some serious potential

Granit peak is a expanding a lot but i havnet been there so i dont know the park situation.

go to www.midwestskier.com and find out all the details on cascade

True, Tyrol is the 'goods' or at least it has been at various times. Cascade is looking to own it this year, about 20 rails, full double-wide expanded and moved park area, returning groomer who had made some nice jumps through the year, the desire to create a 400ft long maintained pipe and oh yeah, their high speed quad running over the park, making your ass get super laps in. If Tyrol purchased a Super Pipe Dragon it could be on, if not, they just threw some more dirt in the hole. Marquette Michigin is far away from madison, but worth a drive to ski as our pal, Stu Epps, forming Mammoth and June Mtn. driver has the reigns up there with a stock crew of solid dedicated individuals who did a tremendous job last season. Last but not least, Spirit Mountin in Duluth, again a northern Wisco trek, is pretty cool when they don't build their hits too flat.

yeah i hear Tyrol is good, Marquette is definitely worth the drive, and it looks as though Granite Peak will be good this coming winter, i hope. last year granite peak showed the terrain park elements on their map and it looked sick but when i got there there were 2 10 ft. tables and 2 8 ft. rails so i don't know what to expect with that

where is granite peak, im from the lake geneva area so i pretty much stick to grand geneva and alpine and sometimes hit cascade, but ya im a fuckin dumbass and need to be told where things r.

But if you want like skiing, not park the only place for that is Mt Bohemia in Michigan's UP. Another trek, but sick, sick backcountry. Better than a lot of places out west, just lacking in the vertical a little bit.

I cant begin to rave enough about bohemia. its got 900 vert (high for midwest standards), more powder then out west (no joke) 35 degree pitches, tree runs, cliff and ice jumps and there is litterally nobody ever there. pluse there is no grooming on the hill so you are almost vertually garenteed fresh tracks
