Is there any way to bend PVC pipe?

How do you bend the wood for it? I think this would be the least of your worries. But you coukd heat it

I read some where (I forget where) that the easiest way to bend wood is to wet it, bend it by like setting it on bricks and putting weight in the middle or something of that sort, to the shape you want it and let it sit for an extended period of time

I made that thread like a month ago. Its super painful to do, because you have to keep re bending it. It doses easy, and you can only bend it to make a rainbow/ U rail. You can't make it bend side to side, other than like warping it somehow, either way you can't control the shape.

Just make the top plate out of plywood. You can just draw your curve and cut it with a jig saw. Make one piece for the top and one for the bottom and use 2x4s as studs to make it the height you want.

Smart as ballz. Didn't think of it that way. Depending on how sharp the curve is it might be a bit unstable on a different note though. Putting pressure on it from the inside to outside could make it tip but depends how heavy and sturdy the rail is

No S rail possible, or a C rail. You can make a U rail though, PVC is meant to flex. Screw it in once you've bended it enough.
 
Making a rail out of a few small diameter PVC pipes like the one in this video, and then bending them could work:

LOL so much this.

Lay your wood frame, then drill through the pipe on the curvature. It'll bend just fine without doing anything to it...
 
Get smaller diameter pipe and use multiple, thats what we did. I think it was like six 1/2" diameter pipes to make an s rail, so the rail was 3" wide.

maybe you could put a slit in the bottom/sides of the pipe altho that would compromise its strength. just an idea

This is sort of a common mistake that happens to allot of people. The reason it kinked like that is because there was no plastic or rubber tube placed inside before it was bent. By placing a rubber hose or something just smaller in diameter inside the pipe, it stops one big kink from happening. The first time I bent pvc was a small 2 foot piece I placed in the oven then inserted a tube into. It worked great. Just a little tip for Everyone!
