Is There A Skiers Society At Dal?

is there a ski group or something at dal, something that does trips on weekends? if not who wants to meet up and make one?
 
No there isn't i think they tried to make one last year but it never happened and they had like one trip to wentworth
 
I've been thinking about doing something like this since I got here. I looked all over the Dal website and couldn't find anything. I'm at King's and have no idea how to get a club made at Dal, I actually barely know how to get a club made at King's... But I'd be happy to help figure it out.
 
Best thing to do is to get in touch with DAL student services (DSS) they will get you in contact with the sports rep from each program society. I know there is big interest at Dal and the best way to get them all together is with help from the society's, they have access to all the mass email lists and should be able to get something going for you...
 
Anyone still wanna make this? I'm not fully a Dal student so I feel I can't go and start it myself, but I really want to go skiing as much as possible this winter. A ton of people in King's ski or board. If we could figure this out I'm sure we could get it done. This looks like a legit bus company Halifax Charter, it would be about $20 a person if the bus gets filled, which it most definitely would. Wentworth lift ticket prices are around $33 a person for students, but they have discounted group prices we could look into. Go a few times in Jan and maybe Feb and we would have a really good club.

So if anyone's interested speak up, I'd love to figure this out. There's a trip on the 23 of Jan for King's students to Martock regardless, I would be down for doing urban around Dal as well, we could get together and hit rails too, and I'm honestly down for just going over to Citadel Hill and skiing there. Maybe make a kicker, I saved a balance beam from the trash, it's about 10' long, cover it in pvc and we'd have a good rail, who's down for any of this?

 
i go to Dal and would definitely be down for this in the new year. it would be sick even if someone with a house set up something to jib
