Is there a noticible difference between fks and px series?

don't really know much about the advantages of the turntable heel on the fks, but i want new bindings and i'm kinda undecided.

1. do fks release in any ways that would be an advantage to freeriding, that the px series (NON-turntable heel) can't?

and

2. whats your opinion on pre-releasing between these 2 bindings?

andddd

3. basicly, is one better than the other?

i know fks would be a bit more durable, but also heavier. searched that.

help me out here?

the fks or P-18's will realise in less ways then the PX series becuase they have a upward release lock out, You dont actualy come out of the heal from the side only the top, the heal rotates hen your tow comes out of the side, basicaly though the fks/P-18's are race3 stock and the PX's are not.

FKS is entirely superior to Px in terms of durability and releasing when they're supposed to. I don't know which one's less likely to rip out. It can be hard to get the brakes wide enough on the fks for fatter skis.

FYI, don't ask for technical advice on newschoolers. Half of it will be complete bullshit. Go to the Teton Gravity forums.

in referring to my advice, and to which ones i would take in order. This issue has been discussed at my shop by us employees a lot. for park id recommond the fks or pseries b/c of the heel.

yea there is a wide brake version of the p18, but it is mad expensive. if you dont plan to ski all that hard, a px12, or even a px14, would be a suitable choice. for skiing a bit hard, the racestocks are nice. they have a lot of forward pressue. the only downside is the toe piece does not have a twisting release, but that shouldnt matter a whole lot.

Hey,

I bought Rossignol Pro 150 (I think that's how they are named)

Here is the picture:

I think it's an old model of FKS series maybe older than FKS series. I will receive them in few days. Does someone knows more about it? I mean year of production, weight etc...

They seem to have upward release (look at the little 180° symbol on the toepiece). Firstable I wanted FKS 155 but these ones were cheaper.

Thanks.
