Is there a nationwide police sting operation going on right now?

I think there is.

on my way to school every day I almost never see a cop. Maybe once every 2 weeks.

But for the last few days I swear ive see about 20 cops every day on my way to school, pulling people over, parked at neighborhood stop signs, patrolling around ALL OVER THE PLACE. Its like crawling with cops.

I also have seen alot of cop stories lately on NS, maybe related i dont know.

But anyways I think this might be one of their schemes. Maybe they think its more effective to have big sting operations in order to restrain peoples driving than to have a long term trickle of cops and pullovers.

I think at least in my area they do it every february. Cops will be parked in the gayest places, doing shit like checking no right turn 4-7pm signs, when all you have to do is go past it, make a u turn and then make the left which is legal.

Anyways is anybody else noticing this?
 
Well I don't know if I am answering your question, but drivers would be a lot more cautious if they knew that they couldn't get away with anything because there would always be a cop around the corner.

Maybe the cops in your town haven't been making their quotas for pull-overs and tickets so they aren't letting shit slide.

 
if someone important or a group of important people (aka voters) in your town get there panties in a bunch word from up high comes down to the po po that shit needs to be changed. and well how do police try and change things? they show force. thats my guess,
 
yeah they're a menace when your thoughts are centered on cruising and smoking dank herb while in a state of perpetual hyperspace then the 5-0 is on your ass, lasers blasting.
 
that's definatley the case in my town, there was even an article in the newspaper about how cops are cracking down on traffic.

on my way to school there's a residential road about a mile or two long with at least six stop signs along the way. For as long as i've been driving, and pretty much everyone who takes this road, very few people actually come to a complete halt while taking this road. I've used that road for at least a year and a half, not completely stopping at every sign without incident, and a few weeks ago i got pulled over for it. it was lame.
 
I heard that in Michigan they will be cracking down in February. Apparently the state police need to make 9 million dollars this month and they will be doing alot of it in traffic tickets. I heard they will even be pulling people for 5 over.

On the other hand, I got pulled over for going 20 over the other day by a statie and didn't get a ticket. Granted, I was in a really shitty situation so i think he felt bad for me and let me off.
 
I live in Oregon so I never really have to worry about cops unless u just get unlicky. I drive 1 1/2 hours to the mountain multiple times a week going 80 the whole time and I've never been stopped.
 
Where do u live man? here in WA there have been TONS of cops recently in my neighborhood, and theres usually never cops....

 
it's a 3 day weekend, cops go nuts on 3 day weekends cause mad people travel, or are drunk driving, so there is your answer as to why there are so many cops around
 
cops have quotas to meet in most places so they go crazy the beginning of every month to make sure they meet the quota.
 
baltimore, yeah i think its a nationwide thing maybe, or some fag cop psycologist found that feb is the best time to suppress the public, i dont know
