is there any epic gaps in the east coast, i live here but have never heard of anything, anyone, shed some light upon the subject please

haha actualy im gunna make this a lil more open ended, any good backcountry spots on the east coast, cliffs, booter spots ect.

I'm sure there's a few do-able road gaps in the adirondacks. The roads up around lake placid and that area specifically. I've never heard of any specific ones though.

uhmm theres a chad's gap on blue hills, its a gap from the very top of the roof of the rental shop, and u gap over the trees to a landing strip of about 11 feet before u hit route 138, makes it about an 85 foot gap

did it twice last year, epic

at okemo you can build gaps over the road where it crosses the trail. just dont get caught by the patrollers they dont take too kindly to your constructions

Ya its in the backcountry of Okemo next to Timzilla's secret halfpipe. Good luck finding it though. I hear you have to pass by dragons, knights, and even King Kong on the venture there.

Haha, the distance across Chad's would be a good portion of the vertical found at a lot of resorts on the east coast.

YES there is one amazing one. get off the new york state northway at exit 30 ( thats the lake placid exit) take a left to Keene Valley. go through keene valley and on the other side of the town is this thing called Mckenzie Pond, its huge cliffs where i rock climb in the summer you cant miss it. all along the road there is major potential for roadgaps and traffic is nonexistant during the winter there. also if you get off at that same exit and drive to lake placid theres a shitload of some fucking intense jib possibilities ( ie: massive boner style rock jibs with perfect drop ins, you might wanna scope those out first because there is a chance you could die doing some of those

chic chocs, newfoundland, torengads?, I'm sure theres something cool in the appalacians down there

i hear theres a sick road gap behind evolution freeride in killington, vt. im pretty sure dave crichton did it last season on his new crichton pro's (which happen to be sick for road gaps)

haha word to blue hills.....do a gap over canton and land in the hood. gotta love boston skiing. There are mad cliffs up on my. washington but you can either hit them in the winter and trigger a massive avalanche and then die of the cold and wind OR you can hit them in the spring and land on slushy moguls and gapers. talk to the meathead crew, they know NE.

uh might I ask why, I mean really why on earth would you want to go ski some shitty ice hills, when You could ski the west coast. or utah, or colorado, or anywhere but the east coast

There is a lip on the headwall at Tuckerman Ravine, one of the meatheads did a backflip off it, but if you fuck yourself up, you will be screwed. If you are confident in your backcountry skills, it would probably be really fun to hit.

yeah there is a chads gap in the east, except its called Dave's gap, in honor of me, cause I'm the only one who has ever done it. you start on the top of mount washington, point it at the lip of tuckermans, and aim for the little bump on the right side of the headwall, you can actually get a better angle on it if you hit it switch, which I did. Anyways it lauches you all the way over to stowe vermont.

lots of good backcountry stuff here in Newfie land. Blomidons, Tablelands, Lewis hills. You just need a skidoo. It's about the only true Back Country I know of on the east cost. If you can get to it though the skiing is beyond belief. Waste deep pow and lots of features

yea i was scoping that out the other day. i wanna switch unnatty cork 2160 it if we get enough snow this year.

i hear theres a secret trail, but you gotta watch out for green goblins in the woods

Off of Rt. 302 in NH, between Twin Mountain and Bartlett, there are sick gulleys to ski. They are the hairiest things ive ski'd in the east, and theres gotta be a ton of snow. They are across the street from Willey's Slide.
