Is the ski season going down?

It might just be me but i think that this has been the worst ski season in the east coast so far. I remember when it was this time and we had at least 3ft. and the parks and pipes were up. What is it going to be like in 15 years will there be any ski season?

goddamnit. its not fucking global warming. its the natural weather cycles the earth goes thorugh. the jetstream has moved this year, so the weather patterns are different. obviously global warming has an effect, but not like this.

it's not because of global warming, it's just an off season. if global warming is really as bad as they say it is, it won't have much effect for a long time.

I don't know how you can be so sure something is or isn't due to global warming. One of the primary effects of global warming is increased variability in the weather. We're seeing that now. The season could totally turn around, but there is some funny stuff going on.

Its not global warming. The earth has gotten like 2 degrees warmer since like the 1800's when we were in a mini ice age. The earth has cycles and has been doing this shit for ages. Its been way warmer than this way before we were ever around. It has to do with it being a La Nina year and the shifting of the ocean currents and winds. Thats why the pacific is having one of the coldest winters in years and are getting slammed with snow. it will get better eventually, if not this year than next.

i hear ya man, last year in the PNW we had one of the worst winters in 50 years. but this year the weather has been on our side. whether it can be contributed to natural weather cycles or man made, i dont know, but it most likely could just be an off year. and trust me, i feel your pain, last year places around the PNW did not have enough snow to stay open in february (usually the best snow month we have).

We are currently going for the alltime snow record in Colorado. If this trend continues, in 15 years we will be skiing pow every day instead of every other day.
