Is the logging in working?

Please ignore all the other threads about logging in.. just tell me in this thread if you are having troubls logging in since today.. as in, when you logged in 2 minutes ago, did it work first time?

I seem to be logging in okay. But it looks like there's 96 guests on right now, so some people must be having trouble. I had the invisible problem earlier, but not anymore.

yea its working fine for me now, ive tried like 10 times and it works everytime but there were 104 guests on a minute ago...

So it seems that the actual logging in part is working, but now people are being forced into invisibility (happened to me too) and the guest count is sooo high... well, we're closer!

no, the logging in didn't work for me, I still got kicked out after logging in.... plus, on the top of some pages, I get this message

I'm pretty sure those login problems were because of something else, IceRider.. I refreshed a couple databases which kicked everyone off... that error on line 187 thing.. I get that when I go to the store.. what pages do you get it on?

matt, I think I figured out why the guest count was so high, I think that when you log in as a guest, and then you leave newschoolers.com it still says that you are on...basically it seems that guests log in but dont log out for atleast a couple hours.

You're close. :)

What is was doing is after 7 people were logged in, it would log anyone else in but record them as a guest, but they would be invisible on the online list (in reality, they weren't being added at all). I believe there was corrupt data in the 8th line of the database preventing anyone else from being put in it... because people weren't showing up on the online list, they would try to log in over and over.. this would increase the guest count. The guest would be counted until 4 hours after they logged in (because they weren't logging out properly).

yeah I tried logging in yesterday and I loged in and it went to the guest page and it had the box that I had to fill in again with my username and password. but now it's working, so no worrys

It sure does work for me...thanks for fixing it harvey, that saves me the hundreds of tries i take to log in cause im so desperate to get on here...

I close the window.... But MATT... about that error thingy... I get it on random pages, and after I get it, i have to re log in. I usually get it when I first lick on the interact-forums menu.

it has to do w/how ie 5.x and 6 handle the cookies on a pc. on a mac they work fine (at least os x). what's happening it seems is that when you start up the browser the first time something's going wrong (no shit) and then relogging in kills that bad cookie and clears all your cookies for ns.com allowing a clean, working cookie to be put down. you might wanna look into that part.

The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs.

I have to log in 3 times to actually get logged on and able to post. Sometimes I am invisible too and unable to change.

yea i log in.....then im in guest mode, so i click log out at the bottom of the buddy lsit, then i log back in and it works. but also after some time i'll leave it running and go eat food and come back and i'll be logged out and back to guest mode and have to do it again. explain..........and harvey if you don't fix this. i will kick you and your motha fucin mama!......haha, no but seriously its frustrating as hell.....my SSE skills have been dropping due to it. same with my sperm count.......what to do...what to do.

it might help if you tell him what browser, what version, and what operating system you're using that it doesn't work w/...he can't fix it otherwise

when i logged in i would usually be seen as online but i would not be recognized as registered when i wanted to post. it happened just now too, and i was reading threads then all of a sudden i could post again..weird..well at least im back

Logging in has worked off and on for me but my NS email account is all screwed up. There was two days were people sent me emails and I didn't have any in my inbox.

Where did you find it?

logging in has been a prblem one day and then 15 minutes later its back to normal. a couple days ago it didn't work at all...and tons of other people i talk to couldn't get in either. now it seems to be fine and the guest count seems normal too.

Mine works....but up at the top I just see weird MYSQL messages....but if I remember to click log out it doesn't happen

I'm still getting the error on 187 thing, but I have it figured out. Whenever I click on anything, that appears on the top of the page, and then I have to log in again... after that, it works. but it takes 2 times.
