Is the crossover to telemark skis that hard

i want to get into telemark skiin. has anyone here anyone done it. is it tough?

you'll pick it up really quickly if you're young and athletic. Give it a try, see how it works out.

seems fun but ive heard that if you want to tele u have to give up alpine skiing (not neccesarilly true) but thats what ive heard, and idk if i could give alpine skiing up

you need to weight both feet equally when turining, insted of having all the weight on the outside foot

Tele is easier to pick up now because of the stiffer boots and the shaped skis, You can alpine turn the skis just like normal. If you want you can then learn the tele turn . Learning the tele turn will take some practice but with a good alpine base you can expect a real easy learning curve,

super easy. took me 15 minutes to get dialed in and i could basically proficiently ski any blue run and some of the easier black on teles.

i ski normally but i have a pair of teles. its pretty easy, i backfliped and 360 on park tables on the second day. Also could do full tele turns.

Pff, I dunno, but for me, the learning curve was pretty long. Once you can do it though, it will take you to whole new levels in the BC. It's awesome.

it was super easy for me i will proboably drop alpine all together this season i love tele. if you are a skilled skier and athlete it is an eeasy transition.
