thanks

you might want to read what you write before you post a thread. Kind of hard to read. For 13 grand I cant even imagine how sick it would have to be. It all depends on what important to you. Money for other things or just enjoying yourself at the moment as much as possable without having to worry about the future.

Mark is right. He and I were roommates at CoC waaaay back when guys like Shane Anderson were coaching there (no offense Shane!). We had a blast but its like anything in life, it'll be what you want it to be.
If you want to drop some serious cash, go to camp with a close mind, ski, and leave - probably not
But if you go with the intention in making it one of the best weeks of your life, there's almost a guarantee it'll happen. The glacier, coaches, staff, campers, off glacier activities, and village offer so much, it's hard to imagine what kind of person WOULDN'T have an amazing time there.
I can't wait to go back next summer.

the amount you pay for any camp is not worth it.
It all depends, if its coming out of your own pocket i would say no, definilty not, depending on the resources you have around your city (water ramps, ice rink with snow, etc)
quite simply, your best bet is to good to mt hood, find a condo nearby, buy a summer pass, ride the public park.

if you wanna try the camp thing go to mhssc because it's cheaper then all the restbasically ski camp is what you make of it, if you make a lot of friends and set goals and try to learn a lot, you'll have a great time and it'll be worth it but nobody's gonna really look out for you and make sure you're getting the most out of it

any camp is worth the money. even though its alot of money, memories are priceless and if you go to camp and make a bunch of friends and do the activities and don't just leave yourself watching tv in your room, its way worht the money. i have gone twice and both have been the best week of my life.

Honestly, the past 3 years i have gone to CoC for a week, and it's hands down the best week of each year. It's definitely what you make of it though. I personally have always been one of the first ones up and the last ones to leave the glacier. It'sick shredding with your idols. I also try to get in as many after riding acitivites and meet as many new people as possible. I also take the time to just hang out in the village and just enjoy the vibes as well as the insane food. Partying is fun in Whistler, even if you aren't 19, just do it modestly so you can still shred the next day and don't get caught. I had an year infection this year and had to miss a day but I shredded hard to make up for the missed day and I don't regret missing one day to heal up and be back 100%. If you do what I do and make every second and every penny count, you will have no regrets! My roommates last year actually just got high and drunk all the time and even skipped 2 full days because they were "tired". I don't think they felt like it was worth it to pay. Once again, it all depends on what you make of it! Sorry it got long!

thanks for your input and im paying half and my grandparesnt are paying half and with mt hood i live in ontario not the best place so it would be my first time goig nto an acutal mtn , and thanks for helping everyone,

If you can, save some extra money and go for the 8 day! I know lots of people who for their first year went for 5 days and were pissed cuz it was so fun and they wanted to stay for 8. I know it's pricey but you will have fun.
