Is stowe better or killington

Stowe has the steep front 4 and you have Mansfield right there to hike if conditions are good. I’m sure Vail has ruined most anything else. No idea about park.

Killy has more terrain and better terrain. Bigger and better parks I’m sure. More nightlife. Not Vail.

killington. Stowe is overhyped, overpriced, and there is really only one chair you'd ride most of the day and wait in line. You need to hike to get the goods if there are any goods left. Killington has a lot of terrain worth checking out and the park is great.

Lots of good side and backcountry at Stowe if your looking to do that but if your looking for parks I would go to killington. Also Stowe has tons of good secret spots you can get into.

definitely killington. Stowe barely has a park crew anymore and has really been going downhill.

Bummer but not surprised. I tried to work there for a couple years like 08-2010 i think. Was trying to do hand crew and move into a cat. Dude didn't want to train anybody ever to run cats. They were ALWAYS looking for people though and never finding them. That job was always posted all over at a time when places were still hiring mostly through job fairs. They seemed pretty desperate.

The thing is, you train somebody that's good, they might stay, they might not but at least you have somebody and some loyalty to the mtn. If they have to go out west, who the fuck is going to come back to work at stowe if they have experience and contacts at better resorts.

That always seemed stupid to me.

I will say the memorial day rail jam was always pretty killer. With having to build an all snow pipe, they had one of the best post season rail jams out there imo.

Always a bummer to hear, and I'm sure their are a ton more factors into decline of the park, but I don't think they helped themselves at all.

Even if stowes park was good right now it's one of the last places I would ever even consider sending an application.

Agreed, I was there last year and the parks have so much potential but where pretty mediocre. Its stowe go ski bumps and cliffs not the park.

Killington all the way. Imo the best if not second best parks on the east coast, with a ton of terrain, and a good party scene.

Good lifts, most of the time good people, some sick secret spots.

It's called The Beast of The East for a reason.
