Is steamboat any good?

My family decided to go to steamboat this year which i'm not very happy about. I like big mountain skiing and from what I have heard/read they don't have any big steeps or cliffs. Plus people say the park is crap before January. I will be there from December 18-24 what will it be like?

Not sure about how much snow they will have but my friends up there tell me the backcountry is amazing.

if there is snow, then you will have a ton of fun...such a fun mtn. lots of little jibs and gaps all over and its all soft. tons of tree skiing. so pretty much if theres snow then you will love it. park could be good by then too. also the town is awesome.

I'm going to be there too. I heard they have really good powder and off piste, but that could just be rumours.

steamboat isn't much for steeps and gnarly lines. but the trees on a pow day is amazing
