Is Russ Henshaw the most underated skier of our time?

He's "underrated" here on NS because his skiing isn't all the visually unique or memorable.
Stomps everything, huge bag of tricks, but...blah.
And, I don't give a fuck what kind of outerwear he rocks.

you phrase this as if Russ Henshaw's exploits have gone unnoticed for a decade.

dude, Henshaw has barely been in the scene long enough to be rated at all.
 
winning doesn't autimatically make you a popular skier. what looks good to the judges often looks bad to the skiers
 
first time i´ve ever heard of russ was 2005/06 season..

At that time he has won the Austrian Open against some big names here in europe! slope and superpipe!

 
i know what you're saying but in the Down Under joss edit he had so many different grabs, and loads of styled out relaxed spins, he absolutely killed it.

He's got great relaxed style, even on his righside dub, I honestly think it's just that he doesn't rock ridiculously baggy gear and go for the whole thug look (no problem with it), and that's why he's generally less popular on NS.

On a side note, is anyone else finding that Jossi's whole protgrapher thing is getting a bit annoying. . . ?
 
he was underrated a couple of years ago when this thread was made but i think hes getting the attention he deserves now. kid works hard and stomps those dub/dub grabs.
 
word. anyone that thinks he doesn't have good style obviously hasn't seen his msp self edit or, latterly, team down under 2010. huge bag of tricks, innovative grab combos and great style.

if you have to throw cork 5 blunts on every jump to be considered to have 'good style' then no, russ doesn't. i personally think throwing down insanely tech tricks grabbed beautifully off enormous booters the world over gives him the right to be continued stylish.

guess he should thow on the 4x threadz and buy some crowbars eh?
 
he's for sure underrated. he's one of those names that i think a lot of people have heard of but just don't really think of all to often. he's sick though
 
Could you please explain how someone can be sponsored by red bull yet be underrated? you probably never respected him since he doesn't make super steezy urban segs in movies, but he clearly gets plenty of recognition from the people that matter.
