He wins a lot. No one ever mentions him. Plenty of people have never heard of him. He regularly shows up everybody.

what gives?

he stil did a 630 out from first rail and sw 10 both side wich is dope! so yeah i think he deserves it... thanks for making me discover that rider he's super sick! lol
 
yah his back to back 1080s made his run dope for sure, but i dont realy like his style.. Im not saying that kuz hes not gangsta G baggin the hell out of everything ( I much rather a style like colby west) i just find he dosnt make his tricks look as good as he could. still the guy can throw unnatty 10s in a run and make it look easy he is definately under rated and under exposed

He's an aboriginal with a pigmentation problem. He gets all kinds of special grants from the Australian government since Kevin Rudd said sorry to his people from Wagga Wagga.
 
hes so consistent and stomps 10s both ways every time, but that said i dont really like his style.. its clean but he spins so fast,, in that video henrik and sammy both did big spins that looked loads better to me.. hes going to win loads of comps but I don't think he will really blow up unless he can improve his style and move in to the video scene..
 
haha exactly! just shows how hard it is for aussie kids to get noticed... there;s plenty of talent down here in aus and nz... only 1 to make it big has been jossi... o and cant forget sirianni!!!!
 
russ is only underrated because he doesnt get media coverage, because hes not from north am.

about time this sport was restructured so everyone is given the publicity and recognition they deserve....based on their ability and steeze that is
 
just letting everyone no that he is not black, who said that to begin with???? The reason he is underated is because he is from aus which means there is no one covering him, because the local riders are being raved about.
 
agree, these skiers have been v well known in Aussie skiing media for years, and rip just as much as some in NA, One Hit Wonder Down Under is proof of this....just wish they were recognised in mainstream media as well and therefore promoted freeskiing more here.
 
Russ is technically one of the best skiers out there, which is why he podiums at pretty much everything. The dude is so good at everything it's crazy. But,

The reason he doesn't get much loving on NS is because he's a comp skier and has the style of one. There's a certain style to park skiing that is consistent and scores well with judges- lots of mutes, sw/forward dub corks, landing with feet wide etc. And NS doesn't give that style of skiing much respect (which is fine by me).

If he used his talent do carve into relaxed 9 blunts, hed get a lot more loving on NS.
