Is Portland Boring or is it Just me?

I just moved here with my girlfriend from Bellingham, WA this week. I'm going to PCC for graphic design in the fall. I longboard, I'm a pretty decent photographer, I like tramps, and I've got a sweet dog. The best part about the last town I lived in was the people... I don't know anyone in portland, so I'm bored as fuck. I've just been moving shit around my apartment and spending what little money I have on staying entertained. My girlfriend is great, but you can only hang out with one person so long before you start to go crazy. I'm working on getting a job, but work friends are never that great. (at least in my experience)
So as super-lame as it is to try to make friends over the internet, I'd like to think NS might make this whole "I have no friends, because I just moved here" thing, slightly less excruciating.
So if you want to skate, drink beer, smoke, or watch ski movies. I'm just north of Milwaukie, bored as fuck.

downhilling/longboarding Montgomery St. in SW Portland is epic. very fun mt. biking on Leif Erikson, personally all the single track from council crest to the zoo is incredible. not allowed, but it can be done. sauvie island is a chill spot with some fun beaches. the coast is breath taking. there are so many skate parks enough can't be said. hit me up message and i can give more. i grew up in portland, all over.

you can go to windells camp on the weekend check there web site for times they have tramps, skate park its so sick and like only $10 for the whole day

31 White Male, Welches area, short comute to the mtn, owns a house, lots of bunk beds, looks like Emelio Estevez but taller, rugged, outdoorsy and DTF! lol.

Ditch that chick, skitch a ride due east and ask for Ponyboy! Trust me you'll totes regret it, but at least you won't be bored anymore, and you can make tons of new friends with your unbelevable stories.

Check PdxPipeline.com It has lots of event listings for parties and street events, often free events too!

Portland is such a chill city. I'm pretty young (18) but i grew up in NW Portland and I love this place because we have every season. You can go boating or chill on sauvies now, but give it a few months and we'll be slashing pow. People are super laid back here, except some typical douchers/marks roaming around. There's lots of us in portland, you'll find some homies soon and if not then you will in the winter.

3647 SW 21st Ave. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you our factory line, best to check in 30 minutes before you plan to show up just to check we're not all out running errands.

if your ever on the westside or in corvallis hit me up, its gettin time to watch ski movies again with the snow bachelor got yesterday

okay zoo bomb is cool, mt tabor park is also great for longboarding.. especially wednesdays cause they close the road to cars..

OGA is oregon gymnastics association.. look it up online. tuesdays and fridays from 7.30-9 is open gym for 7 dollars and there are a few giant super bouncy tramps and a tramp into foam pit plus bouncy floors and crazy gymnasts doing floor moves. its down 26 (toward the coast) in beaverton.. maybe 10-15 from downtown. worth it.. kinda impossible without a car though.

there is tons of great night life too if you are 21, actually one of my greatest friends I met in a bar in portland.. PCC kinda sucks for meeting friends unless you smoke weed in which case you can find some friends pretty quickly...

but ya portlnd can be boring if you are lonely... so my best advice would be get out and look for some friends.. portlanders (generally speaking) are way nice and random and fun.. like last full moon I ran into a group of like 15 people dressed as gnomes and acting like garden gnomes.. I guess they get dress up every full moon and then sneak up on people and stuff..

I dono there is tons of stuff.. grab the portland mercury. it will help you. it's free on thursdays.
